I swear, the media makes a bigger deal out of Jennifer Aniston's hair cut, some idiot celebrity adopting a cat, and so on and so forth. But in reality, I feel as though most of America does not care. The reason anyone is forced to give a damn is because E! News and Star magazine put it in nice bright lettering.

Does anyone else feel this way about gossip magazines?

I believe you are part of the minority of americans who believes that. Most americans are bombarded 24/7 365 with celebrity news whether it be gossip rags,the local/national news,television programs,movies,music,sports grammys,oscars,espys etc... I agree it is ridiculous that more people know whats going on with Lindsy effin Lohan or Derek Jeter than whats going on with congress and the white house.It's our culture but I really wish people would make the separation between entertainment and obsession.
