Whatevers
It seems that after weeks of crowing over other polls, the Republicans have strangely missed this one by Fox:

Is it because:
Obama leads Romney, 46-39?
Obama's lead among women, 55 to 33
How does this contradict the claims of persons on this site who have claimed otherwise?
But but last week they said it was a foregone conclusion, and we should just skip the election and put the money into fixing the deficit?
Are they being...inconsistent?
Answer
Even though those polls look good, I never look at Fox News. Not ever.
Rupert Murdoch has already shown that he and his organizations have no scruples.

White House strategy with FOX News: Is this a winning or losing proposition?

By calling out FOX as "not a real news organization" and essentially shutting them out, isn't the Obama adm. simply giving them more defenders and making FOX the underdog? It seems a little too Machiavellian to me. Does anyone remember Nixon's enemies list?
Answer
It is indeed reminiscent of the Nixon years, just the opposite side of the political spectrum. Obama and his administration have been on a war path against FOX News for some time now. They have taken steps to coordinate with other media outlets to persuade them to ignore and boycott the FOX network, they refuse to answer any questions from any reporter from FOX or do any interviews with them. And they have publicly made unfounded comments about the network in an unfounded attempt to marginalize them, basically marginalizing a huge portion of the American populous, as the network boasts much higher ratings than ALL the other networks combined.
I used to watch all the news, mainstream and FOX to be well informed and educated. Then I started seeing the mainstream not covering everything and not covering some of the stories they do report on honesty. FOX News actually covered the Tea Parties as the peaceful protests that they were, uncovered the real truth about the Arts Foundation, the truth about the "Green Czar", ACORN, etc. By the way, it really bothers me that the mainstream media showed a man with a gun I think was outside a tea party but never showed his face. His arms were in front of him, and you could see the person in front of him was white. Mainstream said the tea party was a bunch of racists with illegal arms. FOX actually interviewed the man showing him from head to waist, from the same angle as the mainstream. And guess what? He was black! Mainstream lies to create a facade. They tell half truths and manipulate the filming.
But I digress. In the latest revelation concerning the question I pose is the Obama administrations attempt to exclude FOX News from participating in an interview of an official (Feinberg) of the administration on Thursday. But this latest attempt to shut out portions of the media was thwarted (to give credit to the other news outlets) when the bureau chiefs of the five TV networks consulted and decided that none of the reporters would interview Feinberg unless FOX News was included. They told the Treasury that FOX, as a member of the network pool, could not be excluded from such interviews under the rules of the pool.
To have the figurehead of the U.S. executive branch and his administration take active steps to shut out a portion of the press, regardless of whether he's successful or not, is extremely worrisome. And it should be troubling to any American regardless of what side of the political fence you stand on. It is a clear violation of the oath he took, which is to uphold and defend the Constitution, as his actions are a direct affront against it.
Read the 1st Amendment folks. It's plain and simple. And is the most important pillar of a free society.
"Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
