Does Josh come around New England an not NYC and I was wondering if there was any place He would come and what's his fan address?

Answer
You can possibly meet Josh Hutcherson by visiting the personal web pages of Josh Hutcherson (or your favorite stars). Look for any upcoming appearances at a location near you.

Read gossip magazines and take note of restaurants, bars and clubs where celebrities flock. While most venues will be in major cities, stars who are filming on location often visit neighborhood eateries and night-life spots.

Read fan Internet blogs. These often provide information on when and where movies and television shows are filming.

You can send fan mail to the following address:

Josh Hutcherson
The Beddingfield Co. Inc.
13600 Ventura Blvd.
Suite B
Sherman Oaks, CA 91423
USA

Please help me with a good book to read?

Please show me a book that I can read and take as much pleasure as when I was reading Harry Potter? I tried like tons of books, but nothing gave me the exact feeling.

Tell me something except Twilight. I already read those and I loved it. Third place on my list!

Answer
Well I don't know if you'll like these books but I'll give you a whole list of books that I read and loved. By the way I've read Harry Potter and loved it as well so there is also a good chance that you'll like the books I recommend.

Luxe by Anna Godberson... Summary --------------> Itâs 1899, and while there were no celebrity gossip blogs, the lives of young socialites were followed just as ardently as they are today. Elizabeth Holland was the perfect young debutante, but tragically, her funeral was held on the very day she was to marry Henry Schoonmaker, the most eligible young bachelor in town, although admittedly a bit of a cad. The novel then backtracks a few weeks and dives right in to the steamy, sordid, scandalous web of attachments of the young well-to-do in New York City at the end of the nineteenth century. Parental pressures force Henryâs engagement to Elizabeth, but sheâs in love with Will, a servant. Penelope, Elizabethâs ex-best-friend, is in love with Henry and cannot stand the idea of any one else marrying him. Meanwhile, Henry discovers that heâs falling for Elizabethâs younger sister, Diana. Complications ensue.

A Great And Terrible Beauty By Libba Bray Summary --------------> The year is 1895. Raised in colonial India, sixteen-year-old Gemma Doyle wants nothing more than to leave the hot, sticky atmosphere for the civilized world of England, with its temperate climate, good education and bustling social scene. To her surprise, Gemma gets her wish in a dramatic and tragic way, when her mother is killed in a mysterious, supernatural attack and her father, unable to cope with his grief, becomes addicted to opium. Gemma is now enrolled at the Spence Academy, an exclusive finishing school for young ladies. The high-spirited, free-thinking Gemma constantly finds herself in conflict not only with the school's rules and regulations but with the highly structured Victorian society of which the school is a part. Gemma is also unable to fit into the social atmosphere of the school itself --- the other students are catty and snobbish, unwilling to accept this new student with her unknown pedigree and unconventional ideas. That is, until Gemma finds a diary, written twenty years before, that sheds light on Spence's history and her own prophetic visions. She discovers her ability to travel to the realms, a dream world where every girl's most passionate fantasy can come true. Joining her are three friends, secretly united by their midnight travels to this otherworldly realm. As the close-knit group becomes more daring and more caught up in the magic, they find themselves repeating the events that led to tragedy twenty years before.

An Earthly Knight By Janet McNaughton Summary --------------> Sixteen-year-old Lady Jeanette Avenel, called Jenny, is the younger daughter of a minor Norman nobleman. Because of this, she has enjoyed relative freedom while growing up on her family's estate in Scotland. But now that her sister has been disgraced, everything has changed. Suddenly, Jenny finds herself thrust into the role usually belonging to the eldest daughter, and is chosen as a potential bride for William de Warenne, the king's younger brother and heir. In spite of her upbringing, however, Jenny wonders what it might be like if she could choose her own husband, someone she loved. When she meets Tam Lin, a young man who is rumored to have been kidnapped by fairies, she learns what it is like to be in love."

Andy F

Does anybody in here know?

Or are we so fascinated by the latest news over the Boston Marathon bomber, and the 3 women who had been kept in confinement in Cleveland, and the accusations over Benghazi, that we've all forgotten last month's hot arguments over deficits and budget cuts to social and military programs?

Answer
Nobody's going to care until Obama is long out of office and all the consequences from this are conveniently blamed on whoever the next sucker is to take residency in the White House.

How big is the cell that carried out the bombing in Boston?

Goerge

The associates seem as determined as they were. Ibragim Todashev was shot and killed today or LATE last night. He is a friend on one of the bombers. "agent was conducting official duties when the shooting occurred." comes from http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Latest-News-Wires/2013/0522/Tsarnaev-friend-killed-in-Orlando-by-FBI . Agent as in singular? Agent going to POSSIBLY conduct a follow-up interview? The other friend seemed to be painting the FBI in the bad light. Are we just seeing the crumbs or were the brothers the tip of the iceberg the government is now aware of but we are of course in the dark. Wonder how many of our clandestine agents are in Chechnya as we speak carrying out covert missions.
@ AJ The FBI shooting the friend IS WHAT MY QUESTION was about. Skipping the question's content can leave you in the dark.

Why yes I have heard about it and the FBI story WAS the catalyst for this question. I even provided the link.
I wouldn't be so sure there isn't a cell. The mother, the brother and now friends OUTSIDE of the family. It's a bit more than two guys that felt their religion had been disrespected. This story is far from over.

Answer
Yes, I wonder the same thing. For now it seems that only the brothers were involved but they are still investigating. Did you catch the breaking news that an FBI agent shot and killed an Orlando man early this morning who had been questioned for several hours about his alleged ties to Boston bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev? See link. This case is therefore far from closed. Let's hope they catch all the bastards involved.

I'm doin a research paper but it seems I'm going a lot slower than i should. It seems every hour I work on this, its 45 minutes of me looking up useless stuff like celebrity gossip and news websites, and 15 minutes of actual reading research and typing. Do college students normally experience this?

Answer
You are not spending enough time on topic. Using more books and journal articles and less online material is one way to solve the distraction problem.

Is media in india creating havoc between common man and celebrities?

saurabh s

Answer
this question has two sides to it...the media and celebrities are intimately related .anything done by the celebs becomes a major news and they also pull these antics to make news and to remain visible in the eye of the people and media ...both the sectors complement each other..both thrive on gossip and news...
whether its creating a havoc between the common man and celebs is again dependent on what the common man chooses to think ,watch and accept...if he chooses only to watch and accept the superficial news then that leaves him quite susceptible to the manipulations of the media and the celebs...then he does not think on his own and chooses to accept someone Else's ideas..but if he delves into the matter and makes and informed decision or opinion then that certainly is a smarter choice..though it is true that the media can make or break someones image but it is also true that the final decision is in the hands of the common man...
also putting the Indian media under the scrutiny is not correct because the media in all the countries has the same job to do and according to me ,the Indian media is just in the initial stages of realizing its potential and thus is making some very bad decisions when it comes to reporting and story choosing...one can only hope that they will mature with experience

Hurt or help~in my opinion it just muddies the waters but what do you think?
It seems like more and more folks are listening to Alex (Kudos to the King of Reality). I still can't believe how many out there would rather watch sports or talk about Justin Beiber to this day, though~

Answer
First see this:

http://www.prisonplanet.com/top-terrorist-hunter-for-u-s-government-wolfowitz-general-told-me-911-was-false-flag.html

Now get this:
Please watch this first video linked here. Itâs only one minute. Youâre going to be impressed. This is a local news video of a witness named Kenny Johannemann testifying to explosions that happened in the basement of one of the WTC towers. While he is testifying you still see both of the twin towers burning behind him in the background. This was live footage and it's only ONE minute long. Go ahead and watch this here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yEuzU3LMgCA
(YouTube Key Words: Johannemann suicide)

Those explosions were from charges that were set up to weaken the structure preparatory to pulling the tower. You didnât see this on TV. Does that prick your interest?

Now look at this. Barry Jennings was another witness that got stuck in Building Seven during 9/11. Building Seven fell later that same day but was NEVER hit by a jet. Watch his account here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbbZE7c3a8Q
(YouTube Key Words: Barry Jennings dead age â more hits when âdead ageâ excluded)

Again, the explosions he talked about were from charges that were set up to weaken the structure preparatory to pulling down this building. Again, you didn't see Barryâs testimony on TV.

Hereâs some different evidence. Steve Jones, a nuclear physicist, obtained WTC dust samples from the collapsed WTC towers and analyzed it. He reported his detailed findings here in Boston:

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1957490867030316250&ei=JspdSaLNBZa4qAObztThDw&q=steve+jones+boston
(Google Video Key Words: Steve Jones Boston)

Those âred chipsâ he talked about werenât the smoking gun they were THE GUN. See the article here:

http://www.prisonplanet.com/scientists-find-active-super-thermite-in-wtc-dust.html

Click here for his actual peer-reviewed paper::

http://www.bentham.org/open/tocpj/articles/V002/7TOCPJ.htm?TOCPJ/2009/00000002/00000001/7TOCPJ.SGM

Now get a load of this:

The BBC reported the collapse of the Solomon Building (Building Seven) 20 minutes BEFORE it actually collapsed. Watch that here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlL6ewlW6oc
(YouTube Key Words: BBC Solomon slips â you get more hits by excluding âslipsâ)

How did the BBC know in advance that Building Seven would collapse? The fact that it was announced in advance is strong support that the flow of information on this tragedy was being controlled.

Were the people at the BBC the only people privy to this information? Probably not. Larry Silverstein was the leaseholder of Building Seven. In a 2002 PBS documentary he talked about how he discussed the Building Seven situation with the fire department and how the decision was made by that department to "pull" it. Well, there is one problem with his testimony that you may want to consider. It takes about a week to rig a building with explosives before you pull it. So are buildings constructed with built-in explosives just in case they need to be blown up in a hurry? Building Seven went down that same day. Whoops! Watch Larry's testimony from the PBS documentary here in this short clip:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3E-26oVIIs
(YouTube Key words: PBS Silverstein)

Incidentally, luckily for Larry, he insured his property in the nick of time just six months before September 11th! It was a sweet deal. So who orchestrated this terrorist event anyway? They had to get past the FBI and CIA and prepare at least three buildings for demolition as well as direct the activities of men with box cutters (if they even existed). Itâs clear from the evidence presented here so far that at least some of the media was in on this. What else could explain the BBC blunder? They had to control the information to those of us who might not like the idea that a few thousand people had to be killed in order to fulfill some kind of agenda. Whatâs in it for these people that were âin the know?â

Aaron Russo was a famous movie producer who became best friends with one of the Rockefeller family members (Remember âThe Roseâ and "Trading Places" starring Eddie Murphy?). This is the same Rockefeller family that is a large shareholder of the Federal Reserve Bank -- a private company that loans money to our government and contributes to our huge national debt. You see the name âFederal Reserveâ at the top the dollar bill. Yes, we're talking about THAT Bank! Anyway, the upshot of this friendship was that in the year 2000 (11 months before 9/11) Aaron Russo learned from his Rockefeller buddy that there was going to be an "event". He was told that out of this event the U.S. would go into Afghanistan and look for Bin Laden in Caves and then the U.S. would go into Iraq. His fascinating testimony about this "event" starts at 26:45 here in this interview:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YGAaPjqdbgQ

Mark 16:9-20 is allegedly added to conclude the hanging episode, does this affect the inerrancy of the Bible?

Ptuan

Mark 16:9-20 alleged to be additional verses not found in the early recorded Bible. This being so, does this affect the truth of what Jesus says to His disciples? If this is truely Jesus who says these verses then those who believe in Jesus should experience miracles as mentioned in the relevant verses.

Answer
16:9 Now when Jesus was risen. The remainder of the chapter is not found in the Vatican or Siniatic Greek MSS, but is found in the Alexandrian. These are the three oldest and most reliable MSS. Some hold these verses to be a later addition, but as they are found in all the most ancient versions they must have been a part of Mark's Gospel when the first century. Schaff, Plumptree, Olshausen, Lochman and others regard them genuine, while other critics consider them doubtful. A circumstance in their favor is that the Vatican MS has a vacant space for them. It seems probable that in an early copy, therefore, they were omitted for some cause by a copyist who left space for them, but did not afterwards fill it, and that the Siniatic MS was made from the mutilated copy. It is clear that Mr 16:8 was not designed to conclude Mark's narrative.

He appeared first to Mary Magdalene. This appearance is described more fully in Joh 20:11-17.

Admittedly all I have to go on is what I see in the news. But standing around singing and praying isn't getting the job done.

Answer
I've seen both photos & short video clips on major online news sites showing what we can only presume to be local people frantically digging thru building rubble from day one.
Those photos only catch a single moment. The clips only capture a few minutes of real time.
For example, a single photo might appear to show five unhurt men just standing there and looking at a collapsed building. The image might appear to show them not helping at all. Perhaps any or all of them may have just spent 6 tiring hours digging and digging to find family members of one of the five and found them dead and they are disheartened for that moment. Or maybe they are waiting for a sixth man to arrive in 10 minutes with 2 shovels. Or maybe they have decided to try standing real still and quiet, listening for a call of help from somewhere deep within the building, any signs of life, so they know where to start digging next.
The point is, we aren't there, and do not truly know the full extent of the help and who is and isn't helping. A handful of images do not and cannot give us or anyone the complete story. In all fairness, we have all taken a snapshot at one point or another, and then realised later that we had to clarify to someone what was going on just before or during or after.
I'm not condemning you for asking, my friend. You are expressing a deep concern for human life. I think we are both wanting to help us all think about this mostly unexpected and obviously tragic event. It is genuinely overwhelming to realise that this destruction took only one minute or less to occur, and it happened within the poorest nation in the western hemisphere.

I saw Haiti on the news and I am concerned. How can I help to give the much needed supplies?

How accurate are the forcastings for Hurricane Ike?

Mommy of 1

As of a few minutes ago, they still predict its going to hit somewhere near Corpus Christi, Texas. This is where I live and I was just wondering how accurate the forcast is right now, I know they will have a better idea later but the suspense is killing me. Everyone acts so dramatic around this time of year and I was wondering what the odds really are of this.

Answer
The information you want to pay attention to comes from the National Hurricane Center. http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/
Hopefully when they post their 4pm update they'll show a track update.
You can also get boat loads of information from KHOU Houston News website. http://www.khou.com They have a weather forum on there that is very active right now discussing Ike. Currently it looks like the models are trying to shift Ike back towards the general Houston direction. One model literally cuts my house in half. I'm not scared of Ike. I've been thru Alicia and I live 80miles from the coast so things shouldn't be too bad where I'm at (20 miles west of downtown Houston).

When does Justin Bieber's 2011 concert tour start?

Kitty Cat

When does Justin Bieber's 2011 concert tour start? Is there a website that says what cities and when? What is the website? When do they start selling tickets?

Answer
He has to make his new album "Believe" before he starts touring again. Justin Bieber doesn't really seem to visit small places like Pennsylvania, Ohio, Utah, Idaho unless he is on tour. But his new album "Believe" is coming out on November 14th he has said something about it on Twitter same with all the Bieber fans and that he is having another tour in December-January so that is when they will be on sale. When he starts to do concerts/tours it will be in the beginning of 2012. He doesn't plan on doing anymore concerts or tours until he finishes his new album. But he WILL be doing interviews, radio interviews, C.D. signings (he always does C.D signings whenever he makes a new album) and book signings. Me and a few other Beliebers has been trying for about a year and a few months for him to come to my town and one Belieber that was helping knew someone that worked for 96.5 radio station and they helped us also they got a hold of Wilson Warren (a guy that schedules Justin Bieber's schedule) and so he told 96.5 Kiss FM that he was working on a book signing schedule. So he might come to Wisconsin for a book signing or anything but keep your eye open cause he could show up whenever. If you have a Twitter that is great because then you would know what is on his book signing schedule the latest news about Justin Bieber are on Twitter way before it is on E! News so if you don't have a Twitter I would recommend you to have one.

Why is our society so obsessive about celebrites?

celebrity gossip india image
Q. I mean why exactly do we have all those gossip magazines and tv shows that just talk about the personal lives of other people? what's the point? Do average Americans really care more about Britney and Miley more than they do about actual news? I just don't get why so many people take pleasure in ridiculing other people's problems!

Answer
People are attracted to celebrity news because it's an "escape" from actual news, but sometimes it's an escape that seems to becoming something of an addition, and it's a growing concern according to some experts in the audience studies, communications, law enforcement/security and psychology fields. A few years back several academics in the US and the UK did studies on what they called "Celebrity Worship Syndrome...results were pretty mixed...with much of it shifting to the negative.

Yes, you can hear about obsession in its extreme such as John David Chapman killing John Lennon, or people attempting to assasinate presidents to impress other celebrities, but yet celebrity obsession is not just an "American" thing as some would believe, either. It's very much an international issue...celebrity obsession and stalking has become a problem in Britain and other parts of Europe. Australian TV plans to run a series on the issue of fame, stalking and obsession next month...so it's also an issue there, too.

Asia has its own unique problems with celebrity obsession that you don't see or hear much about in the rest of the world. Sometimes, the celebrity obsession thing over there can get very intense and ugly, too. In Japan, there's actually a derogatory word for such an obsession: Okatu. It's usually geared towards Anime fans, but can also refer to celebrity obsessed folks as well

A few true stories reported in the Asian media but didn't quite make to the mainstream US or European media:

In S. Korea, a pop star called U-Know was nearly poisoned by an anti-fan. She put super glue into a drink she gave him! The likelihood of stars meeting anti-fans there are just as strong as meeting regular fans.

In India, fans were very upset because Shilpa Shettyone of their top Bollywood stars and Richard Gere kissed! An action that no one in the US or Europe would even give a second though. Yet, the upset re: this specific breach of Indian culture and tradition escalated to the point of protests and effigy burning in some communities there. There were even calls for Gere's arrest!

In China last year, there was a gal, Yang Lijuan, who was so obsessed by an actor named Andy Lau that her family actually SOLD their house to go to hong kong for a meet and greet. This woman had been obsessed by Lau since age 16, and had actually dropped out of school to make the full time observation of him her career! The 29 year old woman complained to her father about how unhappy she was about getting to have only a few minutes with the star. The father wrote Lau a 12 page letter saying that it was the celebrity's fault that his family was now homeless and in ruins...and then the dad jumped off a bridge and killed himself! The gal tried to say it was the star's fault her dad was dead...and was STILL demanding to spend time with him. Crazy, no? This story was the talk of China and other parts of Asia for quite a while.

Sad thing here is that such nutjobs around the world give regular fans of celebrities a bad name. People figure if one is psycho and obsessed then they ALL must be psycho and obsessed...and that's just simply not fair.

Is there an "ICON" personality in USA of our days whoes moral authority is generally accepted?

Answer
Advertising is their only source of income. A good audience runs up advertising rates. Local news usually does pretty well. There are plenty of millionaires in TV news.

Is the internet popular these days because tv has become garbage?

hockeyman

All this reality crap, bad anchors and "experts" on the news channels and just bad coverage in general, bad sitcoms compared with the last decade, mtv no longer playing music videos, even todays cartoons are no fun to watch. I hate watching tv these days, only watch it for sports and sometimes adultswim, and very occasionally comedy central. Is it any surprise that the internet is way more popular now that tv sucks?

Answer
I agree, tv is absolute garbage.. I doubt it's the reason that there are so many people who use the internet though.. the internet has about a billion more uses than the tv does.. I mean, I can't find a Chi-Square calculator on my tv.

My essay prompt is to write an expository essay about how wars impact people who fight them and the communities they are fought in, using the book I am the Clay, and the film The Korean War: Our Time In Hell, and another source.
Below is my essay. Tell me how i did, and if i cited correctly and all that. And any other tips or pointers you might have. ALSO I need help with a title.

English II

War is something that has been happening since just about the beginning of humanity. Over time, war has evolved with weapons, recourses, and technology, but one aspect remains the same. War impacts people. War impacts always impacts the world in some way. War impacts the people who fight them, the people who witness them, and the communities in which they are fought by itâs deaths, heartbreaking reality, and its turmoil.
People who fight in wars like soldiers, generals, and pilots are people just as just as everyone else, just as your mother or the girl who checks you out at the grocery store. Most of them have families back home waiting for their return. But sadly, a lot of them never make it home. 36,516 American soldiers died in the Korean War alone. That is 36,516 fathers, sons, grandfathers, or lovers that are never coming back. Think of how greatly this can affect the world. One person can change the world. The smallest of events can lead to something life changing. Just think of all the people you have met and how even a seemingly insignificant way someone can impact your life so definitely. When people are dying it is a terrible juncture that brings people to times of sadness, worry, and for some, prayer. Just before the Battle of Inchon, General Douglas MacArthur says, âPlease stand with me while we recite the Lordâs Prayerâ (The Korean War: Our Time In Hell). War has people scared and worried, asking for Godâs will to be done, asking for strength. God knows it is needed.
Not only does war impact the people that fight them, but it also impacts the people who witness them. Most people have seen a photograph or a film or at least heard about the devastation of warfare. In Phil de Haanâs article â50 Years & Countingâ he refers to photographer Max Desforâs experience of witnessing and photographing the aftermath of a gun battle in Seoul. Desfor says âA mother was awkwardly sprawled in death on the side of the road. Alongside her were her two children, crying and bewildered.â (Haan). Desfor later went on to win a Pulitzer-prize in 1951 for a picture of civilians striving to cross one of the wrecked bridges as they fled south. Witnessing and capturing the horrible events of war is something that, while terrible, is beautiful and heartbreaking.
Possibly more than anything else, war impacts the communities in which they are fought. In Chaim Potokâs novel I Am the Clay, he reflects the hardship of three characters caught by the horror of war. One character is retuning to his home village after being forced to vacate due to the attacks that were destroying his home. Upon seeing his home, the boy does and thinks this, âHe walked back and forth, dazed: Where was his mother⦠Here and there remnants of a house as part of a shanty⦠Is this my village?â (Potok 199). This boy lost his family, his friends, and his home because of war. War impacted this boy completely and irreparably.
Through out time war has been one thing that seems to continue. Some form of war has been happening ever since humanity has had something they thought to be worthy of a fight. Whether it be by firing a gun, taking or seeing a picture, or having you family and village taken from you, war impacts in grievous ways.

Answer
Title -
Is Peace worth fighting for?
War or Peace?
Should one go to war over peace?

Your paragraphing is not clear, use a single line spacer between each.

Remember than you need to cite in some form, at the time (either at the end/during a quote OR as a Footnote numbered) as well as in the Reference/Bibliography.

You give numbers for the numbers of soldiers killed - but that info is not In Text cited.

You then list the males killed - What about all the females, don't they deserve a mention?

You quote Douglas MacArthur, but no date.

Haanâs article â50 Years & Countingâ - no date.

'.... crying and bewildered.â (Haan). - no date

'Desfor says âA mother was ....' but you cite Haan (no date) - you should either cite Max Desfor or say something like, ' Haan quotes Desfor as stating ....' (date).

' I Am the Clay,' - no date.
The citation (Potok 199) should be at the first mention of the book, not the second.

*Hope that you'll find this helpful.

Can anyone actually explain the financial crisis causes and effects in a good explanation?

Q. The news doesn't cover the whole story it just covers the day to day stuff.

Answer
We know that all institutions that own mortgages are in trouble because of the fall in housing prices meant there are many mortgages larger than the market value of the house. This is the reason people do not just to sell their house instead of let the banks foreclose. We know that house prices are falling because they rose rapidly between 2003 and 2006, and got so expensive that almost no one could afford to buy.
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/laland/2008/09/credit-suisse-h.html
It is not that unusual for temporary unsustainable increase in the prices of assets to happen. We saw a similar event in the stock market in the late 90's, the dot com bubble. There are a lot of explanations about why this happened now in housing, and none of them are convincing, I think it may be due to some distortion in the economy that caused too much money from foreign investors available and no other segment of the economy was growing to soak up the money,

The result was people no longer trusted banks, money market funds, etc because no one is sure how risky their holding are, so people with more than $100,000 are searching for safe places to put their money, like US bonds, and banks are reluctant to make new loans, so it has become difficult to get credit. Here is the summery for what happened in september.

What is Piers Morgan's background?

celebrity gossip 1996
on Sara Paxton at Mother Goose Parade, 2007 (bright).jpg
celebrity gossip 1996 image

Me, Myself

Piers is currently on the Donald Trump reality t.v. show, Celebrity Apprentice. I know Piers was a judge on the inventor's reality show last year but what is his background? Is he an actor, author, writer or what? He has a very strong personality and is very competitive.

Answer
EARLY CAREER:

The youngest of four children[2], Piers Morgan was supposedly named after brewery heir and privateer motor-racing driver Piers Courage. He attended Chailey School, a comprehensive secondary school in Chailey, near Lewes, East Sussex. Morgan studied Journalism at Harlow College. After a brief career at Lloyds of London, he joined the Surrey and South London Newspaper Group, where he worked as a reporter on the South London Press. Morgan was recruited (he says headhunted by editor Kelvin MacKenzie) to join The Sun newspaper, specifically to work on the Bizarre column.

NEWSPAPER CAREER:

Morgan's first major position in national media was as editor of The Sun's show business column, Bizarre, under the editorship of Kelvin MacKenzie. In 1994, aged 28, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, becoming the youngest national newspaper editor for more than half a century. He quickly gained notoriety for his invasive style and lack of concern for celebrities' right to privacy, claiming that they could not manipulate the media to further their own ends without accepting the consequences of a two way deal.

Morgan left this post shortly after publishing photographs of Catherine Victoria Lockwood, then wife of Charles, Earl Spencer leaving a detoxification clinic. This action ran against the editors' code of conduct, a misdemeanour for which the Press Complaints Commission took Morgan to task. Murdoch was reported as having said publicly that "the boy went too far." Morgan's autobiography The Insider states that he left the News of the World of his own choice and somewhat against owner Rupert Murdoch's wishes when he was offered the job of Editor at the Daily Mirror.

As editor of the Daily Mirror, Morgan was widely criticised in 1996 for the headline "Achtung Surrender" a day before England met Germany in a semi-final of the Euro '96 football championships. The story was written by Justin Dunn.

In 2000, he was the subject of an investigation after Suzy Jagger wrote a story in The Daily Telegraph revealing that he had bought £20,000 worth of shares in computer company Viglen soon before the Mirror's 'City Slickers' column tipped Viglen as a good buy.[3] He was found to have breached the Code of Conduct on financial journalism by the Press Complaints Commission, but Morgan kept his job. The view was expressed in media columns that Morgan had support in the boardroom, where his qualities as a successful editor were seen to outweigh any suggestions that he might be lacking in personal integrity. The City Slickers columnists Anil Bhoyrul and James Hipwell, were both found to have committed more breaches of the Code, and were sacked before the inquiry. In 2004, further enquiry by the Department of Trade and Industry resulted in the DTI saying that Morgan would not face charges.[4] On 7 December 2005 Bhoyrul and Hipwell were convicted of conspiracy to breach the Financial Services Act. During the trial it emerged that Morgan had in fact bought £67,000 worth of Viglen shares, emptying his bank account and investing under his wife's name too.[3]

In 2002, the Daily Mirror attempted to move midmarket, claiming to eschew the more trivial stories of show-business and gossip. Morgan rehired John Pilger, who had been sacked during Robert Maxwell's ownership of the Mirror titles. Despite such changes, Morgan was unable to halt the paper's decline in circulation, a decline shared by its direct rivals The Sun and the Daily Star.

Morgan was fired from the Daily Mirror on 14 May 2004 after authorising the newspaper's publication of what were faked photographs of Iraqi prisoners being abused by British Army personnel. The Daily Mirror countered that it had fallen victim to a "calculated and malicious hoax" and apologised for their publication.

Later, Morgan also had a monthly interview column in GQ magazine.

In May 2005, in partnership with Matthew Freud, he gained ownership of Press Gazette, a media trade publication together with its 'cash cow' the British Press Awards, in a deal worth £1 million.[5][6] This ownership was cited as one of the reasons many major newspapers boycotted the 2006 awards.[7] Press Gazette entered administrative receivership toward the end of 2006, before being sold to a trade buyer.

On 4 May 2006, Morgan launched First News, a weekly paper aimed at seven- to fourteen-year-olds. Morgan is editorial director at First News, responsible for bringing in celebrity involvement. He referred to the role as "editorial overlord and frontman."[8]

In 2007, Morgan was filmed falling off of a Segway, breaking three ribs[citation needed]. Simon Cowell and others made much of Morgan's previous comment in 2003, in the Daily Mail, after U.S. President George W. Bush fell off a Segway, that "You'd have to be an idiot to fall off, wouldn't you, Mr. President?"[9][10][11]

TELEVISION CAREER:

Morgan's career has diversified in recent years in to television presentation and proprietorship. In 2003, he presented a three part television documentary series for the BBC titled The Importance of Being Famous, about fame and the manner in which celebrities are covered by modern media.

He has co-hosted his own current affairs interview show on Channel 4, with Amanda Platell called Morgan & Platell. The show was dropped after three series allegedly because of poor ratings, though the chairman of Channel 4, Luke Johnson, was reported not to like the programme.

Morgan was reported in December 2005[12] to be developing a new series You're Fired and to be a panelist in a forthcoming talent show for ITV1 based on the US series The Gong Show. It was reported in the Evening Standard on 21 February 2006 that Morgan was 'in talks' with ITV to take over Paul O'Grady's chat show, following a successful pilot.

Throughout 2006 Morgan appeared as a judge on the American television show America's Got Talent along with Brandy and David Hasselhoff on NBC. Morgan recently appeared as a celebrity contestant on Comic Relief Does The Apprentice in 2007, to raise money for Comic Relief. During filming, he managed to reduce fellow contestant Trinny Woodall to tears when he stole her chef and was involved in a brawl with her.[13] Upon his team losing, Morgan was the only celebrity to be fired by Alan Sugar.[14]

In 2007 he appeared as a judge for the second season of America's Got Talent and also appeared as a judge on the British version of the show, Britain's Got Talent on ITV1, along with Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell. He also presented You Can't Fire Me, I'm Famous on BBC One.

In January 2008, Morgan fronted a new 3-part documentary about Sandbanks for ITV1[15] entitled Piers Morgan on Sandbanks.

He has a regular column in the 'Live' supplement of the Mail On Sunday.

Morgan is currently a participant in the U.S. celebrity version of The Apprentice, which began airing in January 2008, where he has had rowdy disagreements with fellow contestant Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth. This was resolved in Morgan's favour on 6 March after her team was defeated by Morgan's. Much of Morgan's appeal to producers of "celebrity" programmes appears to be his propensity for the fallings-out with fellow participants that are popular with viewers, which were also a feature of his newspaper editorships.[citation needed]

Piers has a new DVD coming out entitled The Good, The Gaffes & The Ugly.

How was it back in 90's and early 00's?

Mohammad K

I was born in 1996 but i heard that late 90's and early 00's were the best years, and i usually listen to those days songs cos they r awesome, like Backstreet boys, Ronan Keating , Westlife , britney spears etc. Also i love those 2 tv shows from 90's , Buffy and Friends . So answer these questions plzz 1. how life was back then? 2.Was it fun? 3.What were teenagers interested in? 4. Were teenagers into mobiles ? 5. Where there any tv show which included vampires?if so which? And was it as popular as twilight and the vampire diaries r ? 6. Which band was popular? 7.Were studies fun and easy ? 8. Is there anything common from now days teenagers and 90's teenagers? 9. If there were not that much technology then what did teenagers, kids etc use to do? , and 10. were there any movie or tv show in which a male vampire fall in love with a teen girl?

Answer
The first few questions can be answered in one - it was pretty much the same as now, just less. It was when music started to run out of ideas - now its pretty much come to a standstill. Technology wasn't so OTT (eg. 90's = gameboys, 00's = playstations, 10's, Wii's) You can pretty much apply this to most things. Just a weaker version of the 2000s - people are interested in the same things, but it just isn't always as accessible (e.g some people liked hearing celebrity gossip, but now its so much more extreme in the sense that you can just go online & find some awful photo & ridiculous tale in 30 seconds)
4. Not many people had them. You were pretty cool if you did.
5. Buffy, Dark Shadows, Kindred: The Embraced, Dracula: The Series.
6. (Early 90's) House, dance & hip-hop like C+C Music Factory (Early-mid 90s) Grunge/alternative rock like Nirvana & Pearl Jam. (Late 90s) bubblegum pop like Spice Girls, Christina Aguilera & Backstreet Boys.
7. Of course not.
8. Teenagers are similar now to how they were then - they just have more (which has ruined them). They can sit on 'Facebook' all day instead of actually going out to see people.
9. Go out. I spent most of it at gigs & just hanging out with friends. (as a teen)
10. No idea. The vamp thing has hit the popularity peak recently so there's more about now.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Relatives and friends of Lorenzen Wright gathered Wednesday and grieved for the former NBA player who has been missing for 10 days, as police investigated the discovery of a man's body outside of Memphis.

Wright's uncle, Curtis Wright, told The Associated Press that police called the player's father, Herb Wright, Wednesday afternoon with the news he had died.

Sgt. Alyssa Macon-Moore of the Memphis Police Department wrote in an e-mail to the AP that police were investigating the death of an unidentified man beside a wooded area about 15 miles south of downtown Memphis. Asked if the man was Wright, she wrote they could not confirm the victim's identity Wednesday night.

The family issued a statement through a cousin of Lorenzen Wright, Camella Logan: "Lorenzen's family has come together to mourn his loss and honor his legacy. We appreciate your thoughts, prayers and condolences as they are comforting at this very difficult time. Additionally, we ask that you please respect our privacy as we try to cope with his sudden loss."

Wright's mother, Deborah Marion, arrived at the scene Wednesday night with a handful of family members. She crossed the crime scene tape and tried to talk to police when she was told to move back. She sat in a TV van before returning to the tape. Two officers then let her through.

The distraught Marion then started running down the road toward the crime scene before being stopped by an officer. She spoke with officers, then walked back past reporters without speaking straight to a van.

The 34-year-old Wright was last seen July 18 when he was expected to fly out of town. His family filed a missing person report July 22.

Wright played 13 years in the NBA for the Los Angeles Clippers, Atlanta Hawks, Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings and most recently the Cleveland Cavaliers with 17 games in the 2008-09 season. Wright left the University of Memphis early for the NBA, and the Clippers made him a lottery pick with the No. 7 selection overall.

He averaged eight points and 6.4 rebounds in 778 career games.

By nightfall, nearly 200 people had visited the road blocked off by police while TV news helicopters showed investigators scouring the grounds for evidence. Police brought in a mobile command center that further blocked off the scene.

Former NBA star Penny Hardaway, who played at Memphis two years before Wright, said he heard the news from a friend and went to the scene near where the body was found.

"I cried. The emotions hit me immediately. It's just sad because we lost a good person and a brother," Hardaway said.

Elliot Perry, another friend and former Memphis player, also was at the scene. Wendy Wilson, who once worked as Wright's personal assistant, also was there and said Wright often used the road police had cordoned off as a shortcut to his mother's house.

"He was a good person. He did not deserve to die this way. God is not pleased with this," Wilson said.

Memphis Grizzlies majority owner Michael Heisley issued a statement late Wednesday saying, "We are deeply saddened by the tragic death of Lorenzen Wright. We lost a member of the Grizzlies family. Lorenzen delighted fans on the court with his passion and off the court with his generosity in a Memphis community that watched him grow throughout his playing career ..."

Sacramento Kings 2010 Trade Pool Options. Who do you want?

misterchu8

Hey all, there's a lot of talk about the 2010 trade pool for teams like New York, Detroit and New Jersey (AKA Brooklyn), but since I'm a local Kings fan, I wanted to see some opinions on who you think we should try and pick up in this 2010 deep pool of talent?

Since there are a of ton talents in the unrestricted free agency list in 2010, I'll list my 5 personal favorites that I think the Kings should/ will have an opportunity to get. For a full list just visit this link. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?page=FreeAgents-09-10

1. Chris Bosh - The Kings should try to find a way to get Bosh because they desperately need a "real" front court player that can bang down low and is a threat on the outside. No offense to Miller or Hawes, but neither can bang down low, and Mikki Moore, although he's often found down low pulling boards, he isn't at all a sharp shooter. Jason Thompson has lots of potential, but he's not quite the star yet, I think he needs a Chris Bosh to set a prime example for him and pave the way for a great Kings future.

2. Lebron James - A long shot in the dark, but if by any chance in hell the Kings can pick him up, they should. I don't think there should be much explanation why (we already know how good this guy is). Any team would love to pick him up. However, he's looking for a multiple Championship team, and I don't know if they Kings are quite at that caliber, but a guy can dream can't he? And if he does get picked up by us, he'll really be a "King" James.

3. Dwayne Wade - I'm not sure Wade would appreciate going from a decent team in the East to a below decent team in the West. Right now he's averaging a little over 27 points, 4.9 rebounds, and almost 8 assists per game. Which would help the Kings indefinitely, but, just as Lebron, it's unlikely he's going to be headed to Sacramento any time soon. Also picking Dwayne Wade up would mean that Kevin Martin would be coming off of the bench or be forced to play Small Forward, something that to my knowledge he hasn't done before, but I could be wrong. I think that would be a lethal combination. Personally I would rather have Kevin Martin play SF over Francisco Garcia if he has to. A D-Wade pick up would be a no brainer for me.

4. Yao Ming - Although I might be contradicting myself at this point by wanting to pick up Yao Ming (explained later, see pick 1). I think he's a guy you can still build your young team around. He's not a big banger, but his presence down low is much more effective than Hawes or Miller. Right now he's averaging about 19 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists per game, that's a double-double every game. I think the Kings desperately need that from their Center. (In case your wondering Miller averages 13.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 4.8 rebounds per game and Hawes averages 12.4 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game). None of which really compare to Yao.

5. Richard Jefferson - We really need a solid Small Forward like Richard Jefferson. This guy looks like he's well fed at home, he's built like a man is supposed to be built, not like the skeletal frames of Salmons or Garcia. He's a consistent player that will give 15-20 points every night and at least 5 rebounds, which is more than I can say for Garcia who has yet to see any playing time season due to his injury, or John Salmons, who isn't a bad player in of himself but would be more useful coming off of the bench for Jefferson. RJ is durable, time tested and I believe can help lift our Kings franchise into the playoffs.

Let me know what you think, thanks for reading.

Answer
The Kings have done a good job to rebuild trading Bibby and Artest. I think they could have gotten more, but they still got good value..AND CAP SPACE.

Sac-town is a good market and I think they have a chance at one of the 5.

I think Wade would be a good fit in Sacramento. I think Detroit will make the biggest push for Bosh after NY and the then Brooklyn Nets battle for LeBron.

I'm not a big Melo fan, but if he's a last option, that isn't bad at all!

I like RJ too, he is also you. If the Kings can get both CB4 and Richard Jefferson, they have 2 great pieces to battle for a championship, because by then I think guys like Francisco Garcia and Donte Greene and Spencer Hawes could be very good.

*I also want to see the Maloof Brothers and co. back in the playoffs.

good questions

thanks for all the details..shows you care

Will there be any options after I graduate? I am a Journalism major and a Criminology minor. I speak English, Korean, and Japanese fluently.

Answer
And the answer isâ¦.What do you want to do?

I know- contrary to popular belief that question is not as easy as when we were young. I'm pretty sure my career aspiration as a young girl was to be the next 007. I was convinced I would make an awesome super-spy. Gee- I miss those years.

Although funny enough- I am preparing for OCS with the army & will be in Intel. Not quite a spy- far from it- but far from being coincidence.

You should have a basic idea of what you can do as you were the one who got ur education (hopefully u discussed this w ur advisor- if not then contact ur advisor and ask for advice.).

Although, why stop at a minor in criminology? Perhaps you should consider a BA or MA. A dear friend of mine is a criminologist (MA) & u can find employment in a variety of areas, such as federal corrections, criminal intelligence analysis or research. Salaries can vary widely based on job type and experience, but the pay is often above average (I think hers started at $79,000 annually, not including benefits or bonus.)

Foreign Languages are desirable for many careers at all levels of government too. (I'm bloody envious you are fluent in 3 languages. Bc my language lacks I have to go through grueling training (4 yrs after active duty is served) while I'm in the military bc they want me to be as fluent as possible in Japanese & Korean. Don't even get me started on diplomacy & policy-I will forever be a professional student!).

There is also the obvious choice of Journalism or Mass Communication, if your career plans take you into dealing with the news media.

Honestly speaking though, networking is one of the best ways to find employment. Ask people you know in an area youâre interested in, make contacts through organizations or associations you may belong to, etc. Check out The Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook. It is also wise to explore your options by requesting information from various accredited journalism schools, such as the one that offered you ur bachelorâs in journalism degree.

How do you like the ideas of idols dating each other?

richnieh

First of all, their companies forbid them because it breaks the fantasy of the fans, especially the most popular ones. Companies usually are afraid of bad record selling. Secondly, they donât really meet people outside of the circle for obvious reason, so how would they know they are dating someone suitable? Obviously most of them are very young and the relationship are really rarely worked out in those cases. Fans can give their blessing all they want but when it is publically known (most of the relationships donât), the pressure are just simply so different.

I honest support anyone to have relationship when they have a chance, just people are usually in different circumstances and they need to live their lives instead of chasing after less practical. I guess it will be a lovely experience even for idols, whose private lives are very isolated.

I think the smart thing to do is to wait and finish their career first before really dating anyone seriously. Oh, well, love itself is not a smart concept anyway.

Answer
In kpop if you wanna stay alive [especially if you have a lot of fans] it would be recommended not to date. But it's odd, you know, to stay alone for a long time just because your fans don't want you to.

I am pro idols dating since I believe that they are human first and then entertainers. But Korea and kpop fans are a bit strict when it comes to that so I might be thinking a little western for them.

Oh, well, love itself is not a smart concept anyway. THIS!!

I agree with you on that second paragraph. I don't know if you saw, but after SHINee's Jonghyun admitted dating Shin Se Kyung, during one of their Hello performances, when the fans were shouting the members' name, they skipped his. Well, some shouted but not strong enough. I found that really stupid. He's a young man of 20 something that shouldn't be picked on just because he said he dates someone.

It's a tricky businesses, dating as an idol in Korea. At least dating publicly. Cause I'm sure they date without fans knowing it just because their company keeps it hidden and the fans would dislike it [a lot would be an understatement].

The fans should get a life and admire them from afar. And idols should start publicizing their relationships so that it wouldn't such a big fuss about it. Someone's gotta start though, you know. Se7en did it, Jonghyun also, now Beast's Junghyun.. It's a good start. I'll look forward to this kinda news cause I believe it's somewhat a normal step in an [Korean] idol's life.
