Answer
This is recent, it is about North Korea dismantling its nuclear programme by the end of this year.

(c) El Tiempo (www.eltiempo.com.co)

Is the EPL popular in Asia?

Zeke Z

south or east or all of asia?

Answer
Short answer... yes!

With players from Korea, China, Japan etc. there is direct rooting interest. Plus the iconic history of teams like Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool are attractive worldwide. Here's an article about the global impact of the EPL... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_prem/7232378.stm

Football in India has not traditionally been a big sport, and absolute ratings remain low for the Premiership, in the low millions in a nation of 1.1 billion. But the recent percentage growth is faster than in most other places, and the value of the rights, while a low absolute figure, has grown exponentially.

Premiership football has been responsible, among other phenomena, for bidding wars in the Far East. [B]idding wars in Asia... started when the League put its next foreign rights out to tender last September. Some 450 interested parties were involved, generating bids from 130 entities covering 208 countries.

The most valuable per capita deals were done in the "hot spots" of South-East Asia, Scandinavia and Africa. Showtime won the rights from ART in the Middle East. In Thailand, it took six rounds of bidding for UBC, a pay TV operator, to wrest the rights from ESPN Star. In Hong Kong, the pay TV operator PCCW outbid I-Cable by paying a reported £10m, in a territory of only seven million people.

I think it was back in the 70s.

Answer
Christine Chubbuck (August 24, 1944 - July 15, 1974) was an American television news reporter who committed suicide during a live television broadcast on July 15, 1974.

Born in Hudson, Ohio, Christine Chubbuck attended the Laurel School for Girls in nearby Shaker Heights. During her years at Laurel, she started a small tongue-in-cheek group called the "Dateless Wonder Club." She attended Miami University of Ohio for one year, majoring in theatre arts, then attended Endicott Junior College in Beverly, Mass. She earned a degree in broadcasting at Boston University in 1965. She worked for WVIZ in Cleveland, Ohio for a year in 1966-67. She attended a summer workshop in radio and television at New York University in 1967.

Also in 1967, she worked for a few months for public television stations in Pittsburgh and Canton, Ohio. Chubbuck spent four years as a hospital computer operator in Sarasota and two years with a cable television firm in Sarasota. Immediately prior to joining WXLT, she worked in the traffic department of WTOG in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Several years before her death, Chubbuck had moved into the family's summer cottage on Siesta Key, Florida - the Washington Post would later report that her painted bedroom and canopy bed looked like a young teenager's. After the divorce of Christine's parents, her mother Peg and younger brother Greg came to live in the Florida home. When Greg left, her elder brother Timothy moved in. She had a close relationship with her family, describing her mother and Greg as her closest friends.

Chubbuck volunteered at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, giving puppet shows to developmentally disabled children, and occasionally incorporated the homemade puppets into her WXLT-TV talk show. WXLT-TV owner Bob Nelson had initially hired Chubbuck as a reporter, but later gave her a community affairs talk show, "Suncoast Digest," which ran in the morning after the national feed of The PTL Club. Production Manager Gordon J. Acker described Chubbuck's new show to a local paper: "It will feature local people and local activities. It will give attention, for instance, to the storefront organizations that are concerned with alcoholics, drug users, and other 'lost' segments of the community." Page five of the article showed a smiling Chubbuck posed with an ABC camera.

Chubbuck took her position seriously, inviting local Sarasota-Bradenton officials to discuss matters of interest to the growing beach community. After her death, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune reported that Chubbuck had been nominated for a Forestry and Conservation Recognition Award by the Bradenton district office of the Florida Division of Forestry. She was considered a "strong contender" by Mike Keel, district forester, who had been scheduled to appear as a guest on Ms. Chubbuck's show the morning of her suicide, but had cancelled due to the birth of his son.

Chubbuck spoke to her family at length about her struggles with depression and suicide, though did not inform them of her specific intent beforehand. She had attempted to overdose on medication in 1970, and frequently made reference to the event. She had also been seeing a psychiatrist up until several weeks before her death. Chubbuck's mother chose not to tell station management of her daughter's suicidal tendencies because she feared that she would be fired as a result.

Her lack of relationships was generally considered to be the impetus for her depression; her mother later summarized that "her suicide was simply because her personal life was not enough". She lamented to co-workers that her 30th birthday was approaching and she was still a virgin who had never been on more than two dates with a man. Her brother Greg remembers several boyfriends she had before her move to Sarasota, though agrees she had had trouble connecting socially in the beach resort town. He ascribed her presenting herself as "dateless" to her ongoing depressive self-deprecation.

Chubbuck had had her right ovary removed in an operation the year before, and had been told that if she wasn't pregnant within a year, it was unlikely she would ever be able to conceive. Chubbuck had an unrequited crush on co-worker George Peter Ryan, baked him a cake for his birthday, and sought his romantic attention, only to find out that he was already involved with sports reporter Andrea Kirby. Kirby had been the co-worker closest to Chubbuck, but was offered a new job in Baltimore, which had further depressed Chubbuck.

Chubbuck's lack of a romantic partner was considered a tangent of her desperate need to have close friends, though co-workers said that she tended to be brusque and defensive whenever they made friendly gestures towards her. She was self-deprecating, criticizing herself constantly and rejecting any compliments she was given. She was fond of word play and puns
Three weeks before her suicide she had asked the station's news director if she could do a news piece on suicide. After getting her pitch approved she visited the local sheriff's department to discuss with an officer methods of suicide. In the interview, an officer told her that one of the most efficient ways was to use a .38 caliber revolver with wadcutter target bullets to shoot oneself in the back of the head rather than in the temple.

A week before her suicide she told Rob Smith, the night news editor, that she had bought a gun and joked about killing herself on air. Smith later told the Washington Post that he had chided her for the comment.

On July 12th, she had an argument with news director Mike Simmons after he cut one of her stories to cover a shoot-out instead. Robert Nelson, the station owner, had tried to convince staff to concentrate on "blood and guts".

The morning of July 15, Chubbuck confused co-workers by claiming that she had to read a newscast to open her program Suncoast Digest, something she had never done before. That morning's talk show guest waited across the studio while she sat at the news anchor's desk. Her news copy actually contained a speculative report of her impending suicide, wherein she conjectured she would be declared dead eleven hours later. She placed a .38 revolver in her bag of puppets and put it beneath her desk.

During the first eight minutes of her program, Chubbuck covered three national news stories and then a local restaurant shooting from the day before. The restaurant was the Beef and Bottle Restaurant at the Sarasota-Bradenton Airport on U.S. 41. The filmreel of the restaurant shooting had jammed and wouldn't run, so Christine shrugged it off and said:

"In keeping with Channel 40's policy of bringing you the latest in blood and guts, and in living color, you are going to see another first: an attempted suicide."

She drew out the revolver and shot herself behind her right ear. Christine fell forward violently and the technical director faded slowly to black. Camerawoman Jean Reed later recalled that she thought it had been an elaborate prank, and it wasn't until she saw Chubbuck's twitching body that she realized it was genuine.

The station quickly ran a standard Public Service tape and then a movie. Some television viewers had phoned 9-1-1, while others phoned the station to enquire if the shooting was faked.

Chubbuck was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital and was pronounced dead 14 hours later. Upon receiving the news, a WXLT staffer released the information to other stations using Chubbuck's copy, as she left it for just that purpose. For a time, WXLT aired reruns of the TV series Gentle Ben in place of Chubbuck's program.

Chubbuck was cremated. The funeral ceremony was held on the beach where her ashes were scattered into the Gulf of Mexico. Approximately 120 people attended, including local officials who had appeared on her show, and one attendee in a bikini. Three songs by Christine's favorite singer, Roberta Flack, were played. Presbyterian minister Thomas Beason delivered the eulogy, stating that "We suffer at our sense of loss, we are frightened by her rage, we are guilty in the face of her rejection, we are hurt by her choice of isolation and we are confused by her message."

All three national television networks reported her death.

Christine's family brought an injunction against WXLT to prevent the release of the 2" quad videotape of her suicide. The Sarasota Sheriff's Department file lists a copy of the tape seized as evidence and later released to Christine's family along with her possessions.

Answer
People tie the Arab spring to things: do not like, they fear, or they have interest in. Arab spring is where normal Arab people rebelled against corruption, discrimination, opportunistic, living under slavery of dictators and their families and relatives. Arab spring has nothing to do with the outside world or others outside the Arab states except oppositions living in exile/s. The Arab spring has nothing to do with religions and religious issues. Arabs, for the first time, were able through the web such as facebook and Twitter to organize large demonstrations against Dictators.
Google: The Syrian Revolution (English) | Facebook - (Includes massacreâs photos)

⢠First : (TUNISIA)
Arab Spring started in Tunisia:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohamed_Bouazizi
Google: mohamed bouazizi

⢠Last : (SYRIA)
Because of the extreme fear and intimidation Syrians lived with for 42 years. Under the same illegal, racial, criminal, most ugly regime in the world. The last Arab state that joined the Arab spring was Syria.
The last uprising against this regime was in the 1982. Where the last Illegal president Hafez Assad and his brother killed 40.000 Syrians to appease them and destroyed the city of Hamah.

Google : Hamah city,

The current uprising started In the Syrian city of Daraâa on the border with Jordan. Where some kids, influenced by the TVâs news of the Arab spring in other Arab states, wrote things on a wall where the kids were forcefully taken from their parents, imprisoned, tortured, their nails were taken of, and at the beginning refused to free them under any circumstances. As a result their parents rebelled and some of them were shot died by the regime. This resulted the uprising to start and escalate in many other areas of Syria.
For many months, the regime as used to in the last 42 years, used extreme force, torture, and direct killing against peaceful protestors and accused them of all kind of bad accusations and telling the world that they have been fighting terrorists. The same way did in the last 42 years of tutoring under the lie that they were fighting Israel and America. Anybody opposed that lie was taken, tortured, considered traitor and executed. They banned the international media from entering Syria and converted it into a large prison. All that resulted in the escape of soldiers with their arms from the army and established small armed groups to protect civilians. Later, armed struggle against the regime started after months of daily killing of civilians and no help of any kind from outside Syria.

Now over 30.000 were killed, 100s of thousands in prisons, women have been raped by the regime, Kids and babies have been slaughtered, millions fled the country, cities have been destroyed by most sophisticated arms. The Syrian regime even, have been bullying, harassing, and threatening Syrians and/or others around the world who opposed. Unfortunately, still there is nobody really helping to stop the massacres until now.

Al-Baâath party has 2 branches, one ruling Syria under Al-Assad and the other was ruling Iraq under Saddam Husain with the same ideology and ideas.

The Syrian story started with the father (Hafez Assad) who came from the poor Alawis village (Qardaha) on the Syrian coast. He wanted to study medicine but he couldnât because he was too poor. He went to the military school and later he and his colleagues in Al-Baâath party illegally and forcefully overthrew the government and took over the power in Syria. Then, Assad imprisoned those colleagues until they died in prisons and controlled Syria alone with his family and made Syria the only Apartheid Arab state. Alawis from Qardaha and other Alawis villages invaded the Syrian cities like Locusts and controlled all kind of high positions in Syria. The way they speak has a tune and some special words and this distinguished them. Syrians feared them to death whenever they are because they know that they are above the law. Directly after Hafez Assad passed away, the constitution was altered and his son Bashar inherited illegally the presidency of Syria and the regime remained the same. Now, Al-Assad family and cousins and relatives control absolutely everything in Syria, and they became one of the richest worldwide and that is one reason why they do not want to leave power.
The other reason is that they are Alawis, a religious group who follow the Shia (Iran) in Islam; and that why Iran is unconditionally supporting them. Iran has been helping the regime by influencing Russia and china in the UN, supplying the regime with arms and skillful Iranian soldiers. Recently, Iranian official said that the victory of Assad is the victory of Iran.

Nobody is assisting the Syrians. (Assad = Hitler)'s regime has been taking advantage of the careless and reluctant Arab and international situation and has been dropping TNT barrels on civilians and committing genocide. The current Holocaust is going on in Syria.

So what ever happened to the news coverage on the AZ shootings?

J C

So here I am thinking about things. Yes I know, probably not the brightest idea, considering I don't have proper adult supervision at the moment. But it is what it is.
In the politics section there seems to be a lot of show me the proof type questions. So I thought I'd come up with one of my own. The latest shooter in AZ seems to have been deemed mentally unstable by those that would distance his actions from legal gun ownership. Seems reasonable considering he looks a little off. But are looks alone qualification enough to make that assumption. Of course there are his past actions and YouTube posts that would seem to validate the mentally unstable stance. But even those by themselves aren't proof positive that he wasn't working with a full deck on the day of the shooting. Of course there are the Dr. Phil's of the world that after the fact make a diagnosis. But they've never actually sat down and talked to the guy. So I can only summate that they are basing their diagnosis on hearsay evidence at best.
Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to validate his actions in any way. He's murderer point blank as far as I'm concerned. My issue is that he legally bought a gun and then used it against innocent people. The gun advocates would have us believe it was because he's crazy. But in his past and to date there hasn't been one  mental health care worker that's actually sat down with him. That's come out and conclusively stated that he is. We merely assume he is because of his past acts and how he looks today. I think his demeanor is a ruse. Used to ensure that he's placed in protective custody for his safety. After all criminals too have a sense of right and wrong and their justice system behind concrete walls is swift and unwavering.
What say ye?

Answer
the conservatives shutdown the story
because what happened in AZ is the result of many years
of extreme right wing fear tactics and manipulated political propaganda

however the last news I hear
was the FBI interrogated 300 people

I will speculated there is an organizations behind the shooter
and since I live in Arizona the first thing come to my mind
is Nazi movement of Tucson Arizona

well I guess we need to buy more guns

Please cite evidence that the AZ shooter is a liberal or conservative.?

Glen

Why do we hate the Kardashians so much?

Jake

I just want to know.

Answer
Ay caramba...where do I begin? I hate them for so many different reasons...

At first I could bear it...but now, I am so sick of that trashy family. EVERYTHING they do is made public, even the stuff no one gives a crap about. I could care less if Kim Kardashian goes out to buy a new dress. I'd rather hear about more important news. You know what I mean? That's one reason...they make the news ALL THE TIME. There has not been one day where I've logged on to Yahoo and haven't seen something about Kim Kardashian...who she's dating, who she's fighting on Twitter, what she's wearing, etc.

Next...they think they're all that. They have virtually NO talent. What have they done for the good of society? Make girls want to starve themselves and get plastic surgery? I'm pretty sure they can't do shit. They can't sing or act...sure, they're pretty, and make decent models...but that brings me to my next point.

They make drama out of the smallest things. Once Kim posed naked for a magazine, and months later, when they featured it on their cover, she made a big fuss and argued that they showed "too much". Honey, the only person who showed too much is you...what in hell were you thinking when you posed nude? Did you think they wouldn't reveal all of it? She's so stupid! It's her fault if they had a picture of her completely naked. SHE was the one who agreed to it. How could she even complain about that? She loses that argument, hands down.

Kim Kardashian also sued Old Navy because they used this girl who looked like her (Melissa Molinaro) in one of their ad campaigns. A few months back when I was reading that article, I was literally like *facepalm*
First of all, the world does not revolve around you. Why do you think they chose that girl for their advertisement? Maybe because they wanted someone pretty, that could sing and dance. NOT because they wanted the whole world to think Kim Kardashian was affiliated with their brand. The last person they'd want to be their spokesperson is Kim. And she's still convinced Old Navy wanted people to buy their stuff because Kim (or someone who looked like her at least) supported it.

And the last reason I'll talk about (I have a ton more)...is the whole Kim Kardashian divorce thing. She divorced that guy, Kris Humphries (who the hell is he? no one knew he existed before he started dating Kim), only 72 days after their wedding. How dare she say she values marriage. How dare she say she married for love. Actually, she did marry for love...her love of money! She had that guy waste pretty much all the money he had on the engagement ring...so much for commitment. She also televised her wedding, and sold it to E! and made MILLIONS of dollars. That's wrong on so many levels. Where is the love these days? A true wedding isn't about the cash. You shouldn't get paid to get married!

And that concludes (or at least introduces) the many reasons why I despise the Kardashians...Kim in particular.

Have a nice day (:

Best series I should watch?

Nourhan

What are the best celebrities I must watch?
I'm watching the vampire diaries. What about gossip girl or pretty little liars? Which one is better? And what about The secret cirlcle? Is there any series like the vampire diaries?

Answer
Pretty little liars became my favorite show after over 15 years of friends having that limelight. I love Pretty Little Liars, honestly its one of those shows that you just cannot get enough of and I fully recommend watching it, It'll blow your mind! I'd advise NOT to look at spoilers at all! The only bad thing is waiting every week for a new episode, the suspense is horrible!!

Gossip Girl is also brilliant, I found myself being swept away by the Blair and Chuck romance, Leighton Meester steals the show! If you liked shows like Sex and the City, but with a lot more drama, you'll love this. It only took me a month to watch every single episode because its really addictive.

The others I cannot comment on, but I have heard they are good - I think it depends whether you are into super natural, which I'm not.

Enjoy! x

Teens: Why do you obsess over celebrities?

Q. I do not understand what is so special about a person or a group of people who's only talents reside strictly in the entertainment business only. So please, enlighten me. It disturbs me when I see girls melt over Justin Bieber for example for simply sitting on a certain chair in the middle of New York City or something.

They're just people (although some are rich, spoiled and get special treatment from the court system like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan). They are not important for our survival in any way, shape or form.

Answer
I don't "obsess" over celebrities. I'm not an overbearing fangirl who will attack you if you don't like someone I like. But I buy magazines religiously, read gossip websites, watch reality TV shows and enjoy hearing the life of celebrities. The reason being is that it's total escapism for me. My life is boring. The glitzy showbiz world interests me. Magazines, books and TV shows entertain me. I like reality. I can't escape by reading books about vampires, wizards, lizards, all this fantasy shite that other teenagers like to escape with.

Its life in us same like on gossip girl ( serial ) ?

Kate

I mean clothes, gossip girl ( web page ), many sms, gossip, queen bee, parties ... ?

Answer
Yes, many of the things you see on Gossip Girl are very like the US. The clothes, parties, gossip, are very typical of teenagers in the US. The "queen bee" is another sterotype of teenage girls that is true. There's always one girl that others love to hate. The website is very typical of celebrities. There aren't many websites like the gossip girl website for "regular" people. But websites like Perez Hilton's website track celebrities every move.

Name that song from the 90s (I think)?

Leo

It's strange the things you think about when you're high.

I remember watching this video on MTV sometime in the 90s. It's some DJ messing with samples and beats. I only saw it once and never again. It probably wasn't very popular.
Anyway, the whole video switches (mostly) between this CNN news chick with a peroxide perm talking about LSD and a drummer playing some riffs. The DJ has basically chopped the hell out of lots of stuff this woman has reported and made her say some really wacky stuff.

If you remember this track, let me know. OMG, there is a really hot sheriff on TV.

Answer
That definitely sounds like the band EBN (Emergency Broadcast Network). They would take movie & CNN news clips and mix them up with beats to make songs. It sounds like the song "Comply" that you are referring to. I've included the youtube link for this video.

The song "Get Down, Get Down" is a combo of CNN and a Harrison Ford movie clip combined with other music videos (Mariah Carey, old jazz vids, etc.)

I have the vhs in the provided link. It is an amazing video collection that can screw with your mind in certain conditions. They even have a warning that it may cause epileptic seizures to those with that affliction. They happen to be from my hometown of Providence, RI.

Looking for a name of a TV series, late 80s/early 90s?

browneyedg

I grew up in Germany where I watched this series but I know the series was originally either a US or UK series, so hopefully you guys know what I'm talking about.
The series was about a girl (Stephanie) who totally dolled herself up at school. She left her house looking normal because of her parents, and then on the way to school or at school she would put on a miniskirt and put on a ton of make-up, etc. There was also a character named Joey something (Myer?)
I just can't think of the name of this series.
They aired it in germany in the early 90s (or possibly late 80s)

Answer
Good news- this show is still on! It's Canadian and started out as the Kids of Degrassi Street . (1979â1986) now it's Degrassi- the next generation. The character of Joey Jermiah you mentioned was quite popular! Check out updates of the show below. Just Google 'Degrassi' and you will find all four of the show's reincarnations since 1979!

Does Wikipedia have the right to talk about celebrities personal lives?

Kristine A

Does Wikipedia have the right to talk about celebrities personal lives? It seems that Wikipedia has become a gossip blog or something. It talk about people's personal live and half of it might not even be true. Is that what an encyclopedia is suppose to do?

Answer
Rick Gates in 1993 was the first to propose a precursor to Wikipedia but the concept of an open source web-based online encyclopedia was proposed a little later by Richard Stallman around 1999. Wikipedia was formally launched on 15 January 2001 by Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger using the concept and technology of a wiki pioneered by Ward Cunningham. Initially, Wikipedia was created to complement Nupedia, an online encyclopedia project edited solely by experts, by providing additional draft articles and ideas for it. Wikipedia quickly overtook Nupedia, becoming a global project in multiple languages and inspiring a wide range of additional reference projects. Today, Wikipedia includes 15 million freely usable articles in over two hundred languages worldwide written by a million registered user accounts and countless anonymous contributors.

As of 1 April 2011 there are approximately 3,600,000 articles in the English Wikipedia and the readers should apply their minds while reading these articles vis a vis documented or cited references for authenticity. There may be a few rotten apples or eggs in the basket but by and large contributors and readers have really helped Wikipedia for it is today.

So, covering celebrities' personal lives is not an issue per se but only when there is a violation of the conscientious line.

What Wikipedia implies is: utmost good faith! But, ironically, its open style was/is exploited by a few mischief-mongers or psychopaths so that they intentionally - at times maliciously - plant false information on the details of celebrities. Wikipedia is a Free Universal Encyclopedia and Learning Resource which needs to be used with civility.

But, in haste, when information is uploaded, there are occasions when the information is not backed by authentic footnotes or references; yet Wikipedia management has made allowed for open editing with authentic sources.

Celebrities love publicity. So media in general are interested in propagating information on celebrities' personal lives on the ground that public love those details. Quiet true but still I should say so only with a caveat. Somewhere Wikipedia ought to draw a line of caution when it comes to writing on the personal lives of celebrities. It would not be appropriate to talk of Wikipedia's right. Actually, Wikipedia is trying to weed out mischief on its pages but still contributions flood it that screening all the articles is not instantly feasible.

Give me the names of some celebrity gossip magazines in Germany?

CatchMeint

Also, do American actors/actresses appear in the headlines from time to time or are they strictly centered on the lives of celebrities in Germany? If it happens to be the latter, can anyone give me the names of a few?

Answer
The world has become so globalized that most European gossip magazines center around American celebrities. In Germany there're magazines intended for teenagers that mostly feature American celebrities like Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, etc. Of course they'll include some German celebrities, but mostly it's ridiculous to even call them celebrities as they're just briefly hyped-up no-names who as suddenly as they become famous disappear again (e.g. casting show stars) Then there're ones intended for older readers (like "Bunte") which also include some German "stars". But really, mostly all the gossip is about US celebrities as I think they live much more outrageous and therefore "interesting" lives than any other wannabe red-carpet celebs here.

Are American teenagers becoming dumber?

Joey G.

I myself belong to the demographic mentioned above an I am very worried about this nations future. It seems as if all of us are just becoming dumber. Lots of people I know take interest in things that won't matter in a matter of weeks while blowing off all of the important issues and seem to have lost the ability to speak or type in proper sentences. When I call them out on this, they say I am the stupid one for caring more about the elections than about the latest celebrity gossip.

In addition, it seems as if people are losing their sense of independence and becoming sellouts. Instead of just being an individual, most teens I know are identifying themselves with labels. These include "scene," "emo," "preppy," and "punk." The music we listen to is garbage and changes based on what a few popular kids like at the time, and don't get me started on the movies we watch. It seems as if there is a "cool" crowd and an "uncool" crowd, and once somebody is accepted into the former they become another person entirely and no longer care for their friends in the latter category.

If this continues, do you think the world will one day be run by a bunch of incompetent and apathetic people who have no personal drive or sense of ability?

Answer
Yes, I do agree. Although I am a teenager myself, I do not think I am dumb. But at my school, yes, there are some kids out there who think they're 'too cool for school.' I make straight A's and my hope and dreams are to become a corperate lawyer. I am very independent and only worry about my business. No one elses. I don't know how many kids at my school get suspended and expelled. Alothough, all these cliques you seem to name (preppy, emo, punk, etc.) have been around since the 1950s. Kids don't get the attention they get from their parents, because they're too worried about the economy, bills, laws, etc. so the child thinks he/she needs to do something to get attention that is not appropriate. They'll usually end up becoming a trouble maker, a gang member, etc. and that's why kids want respect these days. The trouble makers as I'll call them, think that life is just a silly game and that they can do whatever they want when they get older. Som of them, don't care about education, maturing, or even themselves. They just want to feel accepted into a society, although they do it the wrong way. It's kind of sad these days. But I'm not going to let that happen to me. I'm going to finish school, go to college, have good role models and influences, and live a happy and successful life. I've never gotten anything below a B on my report card in my LIFE ! So please don't think all teens are getting dumber everyday. There are some good ones out there, and there are some bad ones.

Hope I helped ! (:

Does Obama being late all the time show he is irresponsible, or arrogant?

Ryan

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/first100days/2009/02/05/obamas-tardiness-sets-apart-predecessor/

He's also reversed an unwritten but much-noticed Bush policy: Be on time, all the time.

Obama has been routinely late to events and news conferences, including the ones at which he reversed Bush's orders. This has led to an already familiar refrain from the Obama camp: "He's running late."

The president was nearly 30 minutes late Wednesday for the ceremony at which he signed a bill to expand children's health care. He was 10 minutes late Thursday to a memo signing at the Energy Department.

Even before the inauguration, Obama wasn't a punctual sort; he arrived late to a Jan. 8 news conference on the economy that was aired live by broadcast and cable networks.

"To me, being tardy, it's got to be one of two things," said presidential historian Doug Wead, who advised both Bush and his father, George H.W. Bush. "Bad organization that can be corrected, or it's arrogance. It sounds to me like this is arrogance."

Funny, I've been blocked by my own contacts in the past because of it. I once compared an obama speech to one by Churchill. That went over like a Lead Balloon lol!
Great quote Ron!
But to be fair, YA is short-attention-span-theatre. If you post something longer than 2 sentences, you're asking for it lol.

Answer
Excellent Display of logic! "Freedom & capitalism are twins, separated at birth, to be reunited by the necessity to prosper." F.Y.I. Your comparison of those two speech's went over most peoples heads, but subtly correct without any ambiguity!LMAO!
