Why do celebrity gossip magazines print lies on top of lies?

I don't give 2 cents about that Kim Kardashian or her family but this has gone on too far. They were saying in one of the magazines as I was waiting in line to pay at the grocery store that Kanye West was not there to see Kim deliver the baby and they plastered both their faces on the cover of these magazines.

Yet someone on facebook that I know shared a picture of Kim with Kanye standing right next to her as the baby was being delivered. This makes no sense. Do the celeb gossip magazines get some sort of kick out of lying about celebs? When I read the article no where did they post "proof" that Kanye was missing instead the preceded to say that a "source" was the one who told them.

How do they know the source was not lying if they were not there? The point I am making is that celebrity gossip magazines all they do is lye about everyone famous they see just to make themselves more popular for ratings. Why do they do that? It's not just the whole Kardashian thing. It's tons of other celebs too.

I know exactly what you mean. It annoys me so much. A magazine once said that Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev ( my favorite celebrity couple that I am completely obsessed with :)P ) "broke up". They said they know this because of US Weekly. Though, they gossip all.the.time. When I first saw that, I starting FREAKING out (I am very passionate about them)! They even once said Nina Dobrev was pregnant in 2011! And then two days ago, Ian called Nina "his girl" and Nina was taking care of Ian's cat and they LIVE together! I personally think these stupid companies just do all this for fun and to get people spreading rumors. It is not funny at all I wish they would jut stop. They do this to get viewers on their magazine/website. They just want you to click on their website so they say the most ridiculous things to get people's attention. That is my opinion at least. Sorry for my ranting :)P

Does Wikipedia have the right to talk about celebrities personal lives? It seems that Wikipedia has become a gossip blog or something. It talk about people's personal live and half of it might not even be true. Is that what an encyclopedia is suppose to do?

Wikipedia was formally launched on 15 January 2001 by Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger using the concept and technology of a wiki pioneered by Ward Cunningham. Initially, Wikipedia was created to complement Nupedia, an online encyclopedia project edited solely by experts, by providing additional draft articles and ideas for it. Wikipedia quickly overtook Nupedia, becoming a global project in multiple languages and inspiring a wide range of additional reference projects. Today, Wikipedia includes 15 million freely usable articles in over two hundred languages worldwide written by a million registered user accounts and countless anonymous contributors.

As of 1 April 2011 there are approximately 3,600,000 articles in the English Wikipedia and the readers should apply their minds while reading these articles vis a vis documented or cited references for authenticity. There may be a few rotten apples or eggs in the basket but by and large contributors and readers have really helped Wikipedia for it is today.

So, covering celebrities' personal lives is not an issue per se but only when there is a violation of the conscientious line.

What Wikipedia implies is: utmost good faith! But, ironically, its open style was/is exploited by a few mischief-mongers or psychopaths so that they intentionally - at times maliciously - plant false information on the details of celebrities. Wikipedia is a Free Universal Encyclopedia and Learning Resource which needs to be used with civility.

But, in haste, when information is uploaded, there are occasions when the information is not backed by authentic footnotes or references; yet Wikipedia management has made allowed for open editing with authentic sources.

Celebrities love publicity. So media in general are interested in propagating information on celebrities' personal lives on the ground that public love those details. Quiet true but still I should say so only with a caveat. Somewhere Wikipedia ought to draw a line of caution when it comes to writing on the personal lives of celebrities. It would not be appropriate to talk of Wikipedia's right. Actually, Wikipedia is trying to weed out mischief on its pages but still contributions flood it that screening all the articles is not instantly feasible.

My wife and I got married on April 29, 2011, the same day as Prince William and Kate Middleton. It was certainly not planned.

Now, strangely enough, my wife is pregnant and due in July, which is presumably when Kate is due.

I am not a fan of the royals or celebrity gossip in general, but I find this to be strange. What do you make of it? Do you think they'd offer us a free trip to London after the babies are born?

I doubt that. Im sure many people have had coincidental moments with celebrity's but doesnt mean they pay to see them. Sorry just unlikely but if you want to try to see if they will then it never hurts to try!

What are some examples of people today who have bad reputations due to rumors?

I have to write an essay about people who had their reputations ruined by rumors, whether the rumors were true or not. Can you please give me examples? And how the rumors have affected their lives/careers? It's really hard to research something like this because you have to know what to search. My teacher prefers current events that are more AP level such as politics compared to stuff like celebrity gossip, but I barely know anything about politics. Thanks so much!

What do YOU think about the whole Justin Bieber being a father situation?

Q. I personaly don't think Justin is the father. This girl just wants publicity and yea she's getting it but only because everybody dislikes her. If he really WAS the father,she would keep quiet about it because she could face rape charges because she was an adult and Justin was a minor. So what do you think about all this crap? I think that its a rumor. This girl (Mariah Yeater) knows that if she says this it will go around eventually Justin Bieber's fans will find out and when the fans start talking about it everyone does and that girl knows that and that's what she wants she's looking for attention. She told the media that Justin Bieber's bodyguard Kenny Hamilton escorted her backstage to meet Justin Bieber. The media contacted Kenny Hamilton to see if it was true and Kenny Hamilton says that never happened and Kenny Hamilton was with Justin Bieber backstage at all times and the only people he was with was with Justin Bieber's bodyguard Kenny Hamilton, Justin Bieber's best friend Ryan Butler, Justin Bieber's hair dresser Vanessa and Justin Bieber's mother Pattie Mallette. Media says that to Mariah Yeater and she said "no comment". A few days ago on Twitter she tweeted "I'm famous and put a weird smiley' a few minutes later she says 'My names trending on Twitter :)' she's making it obvious that she's lying. She then met him when there's hundreds of other fans and Justin chose her and had "sex" with her backstage when there are Beliebers 10000 times prettier than her. There are the prettiest Beliebers and Justin Bieber never had sex with them. To go backstage you have to personally know that celebrity, who they work with or someone that they know and Mariah Yeater doesn't personally know Justin Bieber or anyone in Justin Bieber's crew. Justin Bieber never let's a fan backstage and "has sex" with them when there's hundreds of people backstage. Justin Bieber also said on 'The Today Show' November 4, 2011 "I never met the women". There isn't time for him to have sex at his concert because he has meet and greets before his concert he has to do, sound check, concert then get in the car and leave. If he did get someone pregnant the fans would be going crazy about it right now crying when all of them are laughing and joking around about it. Justin Bieber's fans find out things before it hits the most popular celebrity gossip television show in America called 'E! News' that says true things and says what goes on about celebrities. Justin Bieber did not have sex with someone because he has said in 2010 that "I don't wanna have sex until marriage" now in 2011 he said "I don't wanna have sex with someone unless I really love that person". Justin is a celebrity and he knows that he's going to have plenty more girlfriends in the future and don't wanna risk it and mess up his career. Yes, he is a hormonal teenager but he wouldn't screw every girl he sees. Justin Bieber isn't one of those guys that love sex and judges girls by her body or looks. Justin's parents are also very strict and protective over Justin so they wouldn't let him get someone pregnant especially at his young age. That girl that says "this is Justin Bieber's kid" has no evidence at all and I'm sure she wouldn't she take this more seriously, she just wants Justin Biebers money and the attention. Justin is very attractive and has a wonderful personality and I do see him getting married and having children just not at 17 years old. Look at Jesse McCartney, Aaron Carter, The Jonas Brothers, Zac Efron and Justin Timberlake they were all teen sensations but their still not married nor do they have kids and they are in their 20's and 30's. I don't exactly know what is going on or what will happen I am just saying what I know no one really knows what is really true until the day Justin Bieber takes that DNA test.
