Hi,

I'm doing a research project for my work and need to get the mailing address for Irma Kurtz. She is a gossip columnist in the UK and we would like to send her some literature.

I understand most of these people probably don't want to be found, or make themselves difficult to find. Are there any resources I can use?

I already tried the online UK white pages.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ask the company she works for -- the TV show or the newspaper or magazine -- if you can send something to her there. Ask if there's any special address to use to make sure she gets your letter.

I've made the names more interesting and I've sent messages of my videos to my friends and I've posted links to my videos on facebook. What else do I have to do to get them to have thousands of views?

I would be cautiously optimistic and concerned.

In my opinion, the reason we have not already taken out known sites in NW Pakistan is that Pakistan is a nuclear power that has recently shown signs that they realize the threat posed to them by the Taliban and Al qaeda and are finally motivated to take steps necessary to deal with them for their own stability and safety.

Were we to unilaterally take out the seven or so known locations the Taliban and Al qaeda are operating from in Pakistan, the Pakistan government could very well loose the popular support of its people and fall to extremist who would inherent their nuclear weapons. Were this unthinkable chain of events to occur, I do not feel we have a commander in chief capable of or willing to take the swift and decisive actions that would be required to have any hope of securing or destroying Pakistanis nuclear weapons before they were disseminated among various terrorist organizations should the present regime be overthrown.

Chuck Brinkman

Of all the members of the KQV airstaff, Chuck Brinkman was there the longest. Chuck worked in every time slot at KQV too. From over-nights, to evenings, to afternoon drive to morning drive, and to mid-day. Chuck first joined KQV in 1960.
In addition to his duties on KQV, Chuck also hosted a weekly tv show starting in 1966. "Come Alive was seen Saturday afternnons on WIIC-TV Channel 11.

Chuck moved from KQV to WTAE in 1972 for middays. Around 1982, Chuck went across country to KOGO in San Diego. After a short time on the West Coast, Chuck returned to Pittsburgh after a short interval to do mornings and PD at WHYW 96.9 (formerly WLOA and then WFFM).

Chuck spent 17 years as the program director and afternoon drive personality at oldies, KLUV-FM in Dallas, Texas. Chuck left KLUV on December 28, 2005. Chuck is now working as afternoon man at Dallas adult standards station,
770 KAAM. Chuck is on the air from 2 - 6 pm, central time. KAAM streams
the audio on the internet.

Also featured in this edition is a weekly lineup of Pittsburgh radio stations. KQV's lineup included. Hal Murray, the Breakfast Club, Steve Risen, Dave Scott, Chuck Brinkman, and Dex Allen. Weekends included Don Shafer and Keeve Berman. Members of the KQV news team at this time were Bill Jennings, Al Julius, Keeve Berman, Bill Clark, and Ron Asbury.

7:26 p.m.: I questioned Chuck on the history of his career.

Now Chuck gives the Tri-State weather report followed by the musical notes of the No. 4 tune, 'Silhouettes," the super hit line.
"Tickets are now on sale for the "Herman Hermitt Spectacular" to be held at the Syria Mosque Monday, May 4 ......" continues Brinkman. "Get in step and get your tickets now."

And off he goes into the night with the original sounds and hits entertaining teenagers young and old with the top hits of today and yesterday.
Chuck's first job in radio came while he was still attending Ohio University, Athens, Ohio. He worked for station WAND in Canton. Then his first real break into the medium came in 1956 in New Haven, Connecticut. Chuck obtained an afternoon disc jockey job for station WELI, sending out over 5,000 watts.
After joining the National Guard in 1958, Chuck spent six months of active duty at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He then returned to Cleveland and in 1959 worked as a newsman - announcer for station WJW in downtown Cleveland.
The staff of KQV opened their arms to a new memeber in 1960 when Chuck arrived as an all night disc jockey. Nine months later his hours were switched to split early evening shifts.
But as the result of a new Berline Crisis, Chuck was recalled to active duty in 1961, this time for nine months. Then in August of '62 he returned to KQV and started his present time slot - 7:30 o.m. to midnight.
"I find the most interesting part of my work is in receiving recognition in public appearances for ideas or sayings that I have been associated with on the air." states Chuck. He has become well know for such sayings as "a little bit of this - and a little bit of that."
Although he is on the air for 4 1/2 hours music preparation is needed. He doesn't just select the tunes he wants to play, but he must work toward musical balance. He tried to achieve a flavor that is current, unusual and controversial. People like to hear the days hits but, Chuck feels there is always room for something brand new in the field, a new style or trend. "It is always satisfying to think you might have helped bring it to life. So you stick your neck out on a few records hoping the publiuc will accept it well."
The most thrilling part of his career so far was last March when he flew to England for interviews with 12 top British groups. One week before this flight, he flew to the Bahamas with the Beatles, whom he also introduced at their Civic Arena concert here last September.
"Another interesting part of my job," Chuck concluded, is the different people you meet at various functions, from telethons to record hops, and personal appearances."
Chuck Brinkman was born in Pittsburgh in July 1935. He is married and has three children: Charles L. Brinkman IV, age 3; Lisa, age 2; and Jonathon, age 6 months.

Because of the extreme fear and intimidation Syrians lived with for 42 years. Under the same illegal, racial, criminal, most ugly regime in the world. The last Arab state that joined the Arab spring was Syria.
The last uprising against this regime was in the 1982. Where the last Illegal president Hafez Assad and his brother killed 40.000 Syrians to appease them and destroyed the city of Hamah.

The current uprising started In the Syrian city of Daraâa on the border with Jordan. Where some kids, influenced by the TVâs news of the Arab spring in other Arab states, wrote things on a wall where the kids were forcefully taken from their parents, imprisoned, tortured, their nails were taken of, and at the beginning refused to free them under any circumstances. As a result their parents rebelled and some of them were shot died by the regime. This resulted the uprising to start and escalate in many other areas of Syria.
For many months, the regime as used to in the last 42 years, used extreme force, torture, and direct killing against peaceful protestors and accused them of all kind of bad accusations and telling the world that they have been fighting terrorists. The same way did in the last 42 years of tutoring under the lie that they were fighting Israel and America. Anybody opposed that lie was taken, tortured, considered traitor and executed. They banned the international media from entering Syria and converted it into a large prison. All that resulted in the escape of soldiers with their arms from the army and established small armed groups to protect civilians. Later, armed struggle against the regime started after months of daily killing of civilians and no help of any kind from outside Syria.

Now over 30.000 were killed, 100s of thousands in prisons, women have been raped by the regime, Kids and babies have been slaughtered, millions fled the country, cities have been destroyed by most sophisticated arms. The Syrian regime even, have been bullying, harassing, and threatening Syrians and/or others around the world who opposed. Unfortunately, still there is nobody really helping to stop the massacres until now.


Al-Baâath party has 2 branches, one ruling Syria under Al-Assad and the other was ruling Iraq under Saddam Husain with the same ideology and ideas.

The Syrian story started with the father (Hafez Assad) who came from the poor Alawis village (Qardaha) on the Syrian coast. He wanted to study medicine but he couldnât because he was too poor. He went to the military school and later he and his colleagues in Al-Baâath party illegally and forcefully overthrew the government and took over the power in Syria. Then, Assad imprisoned those colleagues until they died in prisons and controlled Syria alone with his family and made Syria the only Apartheid Arab state. Alawis from Qardaha and other Alawis villages invaded the Syrian cities like Locusts and controlled all kind of high positions in Syria. The way they speak has a tune and some special words and this distinguished them. Syrians feared them to death whenever they are because they know that they are above the law. Directly after Hafez Assad passed away, the constitution was altered and his son Bashar inherited illegally the presidency of Syria and the regime remained the same. Now, Al-Assad family and cousins and relatives control absolutely everything in Syria, and they became one of the richest worldwide and that is one reason why they do not want to leave power.
The other reason is that they are Alawis, a religious group who follow the Shia (Iran) in Islam; and that why Iran is unconditionally supporting them. Iran has been helping the regime by influencing Russia and china in the UN, supplying the regime with arms and skillful Iranian soldiers. Recently, Iranian official said that the victory of Assad is the victory of Iran.

Nobody is assisting the Syrians. (Assad = Hitler)'s regime has been taking advantage of the careless and reluctant Arab and international situation and has been dropping TNT barrels on civilians and committing genocide. The current Holocaust is going on in Syria.

Q. Ron Artest grew up in Queens, NY (pretty ghetto), and he didnt grow up very rich (lets put it that way).

So needless to say, he's always been relatively conservative in money spending.

Well, during his rookie season in the NBA with the Bulls, Ron Artest heard news that Best Buy employees get 50% off store merchandise. Artest was at shocked at the great discount, that he applied for a job at the nearest Best Buys.

lol Ron is great, while getting paid millions, he doesnt forget he grew up poor and he wanted to get a great deal on the latest Mac Books and what not.

Prior to the series, Shark fans were confident and predicting a series win (me included) and after 1 game now Calgary fans are predicting series wins. Funny how 1 game can change opinions, but in the NHL playoffs, its just that. ONE game! I will say Calgary came out playing with a purpose and were very disciplined yet physical. They were smart, stuck to their gameplan and Kipper did the rest. The Sharks were lazy, irresponsible, and scrambling for their lives most of the game. They finally decided to show up in the last minute or 2 but it was too late. Here's hoping SJ flicks the switch on because to be down 2 and heading into Calgary is bad news. But again, its just one game....for now.

I was swimming in the ocean, 20-30 feet out (high tide) and I had my back to the waves so I wouldn't get water in my eyes. Something hit my in the butt. Like I got sucker punched. And I turned around because my first thought was that someone behind me floated into me. There was noone there. But a huge gray fin flopped and the tail hit me again, I seen the top fin come out of the water. I don't know what it was. But it was big. There was two teenage girls and a younger girl right in front of me. I grabbed the young girl and tossed her at the teenage girls and I think I mumbled the words "shark" they started trying to get inland as fast as me. One of the teenage girls came up to me and told me a few minutes later that she seen the big top fin. Right then I moved my hand across my butt because it had frogged me. I noticed that I had a slimy substance where it hit me. I was pretty terrified. But my question is, what hit me? I didn't see any dolphins jumping anywhere at anytime today. So what hit me? I'm on Hilton head island, SC by the way.

Regarding shark safety guidelines, it's recommended that if you're bumped or brushed up against while swimming to make your way out of the water. Try not to splash as you make your way out of the water as quickly as you can. Splashing causes vibrations which sharks are attracted to and the last thing you would need while trying to make your way to shore. Good thing no one was hurt.

* No one can say for sure if it was a shark, but from what you have described, getting out of the water is the best thing you could have done at that point.

The collection of terrorist groups known as the "Free Syrian Army" is kidnapping and torturing people every day. The latest polls show 91.4% of Americans believe we should not do anything in Syria. I agree with this. There are far too many other issues; high unemployment, people losing their homes, the national debt, and etc...

To add to this rationelle, according to US News, Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Fla., states the Obama administration has manipulated the intellegence to make it's case for war.

Unfortunately, Obama appears to be foaming at the mouth, drunk with power, and dead-set on diverting the American peoples' attention by "Wagging-the-Dog" out of all his scandals (Egypt, NSC, IRS, the nation debt, the high unemployment rate, falling race relations, and so on and so on...).

There are so many folks that served with him in the US Navy that believe he should have been tried for treason (Swift Boaters). Now, just a few months after Obama annointed John Kerry into his new position, John Kerry is doing everything John Kerry can do to get the US into a war with the very same US Military he has spoken so badly about to assist his boss, Obama for political reasons.

Many if these two were truly doing this for "Humanitarian Reasons" they would have done something in the Congo where at least 4,000,000 people have been killed.

It is interesting these very same folks that were so against any war under Bush are now doing everything they can to get the US into this war to protect their man Obama. Problem is that the "Generation X and Y" folks that voted overwhelmingly for him, now are expected to go to war for him. If they do not, watch the draft come back.

The dog is barking very loud alarming Jae Soo(Na Ra's friend).
He then ran nervously making me uncomfortable and scared then came back shouting for help. I ran with a goose bump on my body and my heart is pumping so fast. I am very scared at that time and kept thinking that nothing bad will happen to Na Ra.

I saw Na Ra lying with blood on his head. I cried as I see him there making my heart stops and makes it difficult for me to breathe.

We rushed him at the hospital and it crushed my heart seeing him on his condition blaming God why a good guy has to suffer that way.

I hold Nara's hand as I confessed my love telling him not to leave me alone because I am scared then suddenly he holds it tightly with tears dropped on his eyes. A continues beep sound floats in the air. I grasp for air as I heard that sound, it felt like an end is coming near. I called for help as I ran crying.

The doctor sent me outside as they tried to revive Nara. His sister hugs me as she cried and told me to fight and believed everything will be fine.

As the doctor told the bad news, I ran to Na Ra and hugged him as I cry until I slept.

The next day, Dad is knocking at the door and waking me up. I thanked dad for waking me up ending my bad dream. Dad looked me in the eye with a serious face telling me that Nara is dead. It shattered my heart and breaks into pieces knowing that my dream is a sad truth.

I ran outside fast as I could and I find my self at the bridge. I shout for his name and why does he left me alone.

Juhee: Why have you left me alone? I canât live without you by my side, I really liked you! I still want to see how you smile one sided, how you wink your narrow eyes and I want to wash your dirty clothes everyday (smiling). But you are unfair. Why do you left me on my own?

I decided to jump to the river to end my life and follow Nara but before I jump, a group of Crane interfered that flew away to the sky from under the bridge that makes my attempt to stop. I suddenly remembered Nara, It flashbacks Na Ra hiding my 50 cents coin under his feet. I felt a sudden relief, it felt that Nara is always here protecting me, I know that it is a sign from him maybe he wants me to continue living my life.

-Ten years later-
Little Nara: Mom, mom
Hyun-Jung[Ju heeâs BestFriend]: Hey Ju hee your son is here
Little Nara: Mom I wrote a letter to you.
Juhee: Wow can you read it?

Ten Years have passed, I didnât find another man I could not replace Nara in my heart. I have just decided to adopt a son and name after him. I know Nara is happy for me now. I am now slowly moving on but I know that I will never forget his presence.

Eun-Ji(Na Raâs Sister) and his husband have started a small time restaurant from the money they saved and are living a simple life with their 2 children.

Eun-Ji told me that Lee Cha Yeon(Na Raâs ExGF) is happily married on her husband who is an art collector and a businessman after she went abroad to study and start a new life with her grand mother.

I heard from Jae Soo that Ms. Jo found out that her boyfriend was using her for money leaving her nothing. Ms. Jo is now working as an entertainer in a karaoke bar.

Dong Goo(Gangster) decides to live a decent life, he works hard everyday as a carpenter, driver, etc. just to make a living.

I wondered if maybe you could do something on colonial punishments :-) Have you heard of the stocks or the pillory? The stocks and the pillory were two of the punishments that were used in colonial times and they were pretty unpleasant for the criminals locked in them but lots of fun for everyone else :-)

The pillory was a wooden frame with holes in for your head and hands, and it was always set up in the town square, where everyone could see it. If you had been sentenced to a day in the pillory, you would be taken into the town square and you'd have to stand behind the pillory and bend forward a little. The top half of the pillory would be lifted up and you would have to put your head and hands in the holes in the wood. As soon as your head and hands were in position, the top half of the pillory would be lowered and locked in place, so that you couldn't get your head or hands out :-)

The stocks were always put next to the pillory and they had holes in for your hands and feet. If you had been sentenced to a day in the stocks, you had to sit on a wooden bench and stick your hands and feet right out in front of you, so that they could be locked in the holes in the frame. It was really humiliating to have to sit in the stocks or stand in the pillory, and people would come along to tease you, laugh at you, and make fun of you.

If you had been sentenced to a spell in the stocks or the pillory, you would normally be locked in for a whole day! There was always great excitement when it was announced that someone would be going in the stocks or the pillory and everyone would go along to the town square to watch the punishment!

The worst part of the punishment was that people were allowed to throw things at criminals in the stocks and the pillory! People used to keep a supply of rotten eggs and whenever they heard that someone was about to be put in the stocks or the pillory, they would put some of their rotten eggs in a basket and go along to the marketplace to hurl them at the poor criminal!

People in the stocks and the pillory would be pelted with all sorts of disgusting things - the smellier, the better! The most popular missiles - which happened to be the most unpleasant missiles to be pelted with :-) - were rotten eggs, bad fruit, mouldy vegetables, smelly fish, and various types of poo. Because they were so smelly and messy, dog poo, cow pats and horse manure were especially good for throwing at criminals in the stocks and the pillory, and people used to gather up the smelliest poo they could find and hurl it at the helpless victims :-)

By the end of the day, people in the stocks or the pillory would have been really dirty and smelly, and I'm sure they would have stunk for weeks after their punishment!

I thought that maybe you could have a scene in your comic in which some criminals are being punished in the stocks and the pillory. There could be a crowd standing around the criminals, making fun of them and pelting them with rotten eggs and mouldy fruit!

The Mayans got bored with it and stop making a calendar. No, not really but popular belief is that they stopped it there because they believed that it was going to be the end of world. There is many theories as to what will happen such as the earth's North and South poles flipping which would cause some pretty disastrous effects. Or there is another theory that talks about a great flood happening like in the Bible, in fact there is a couple ancient stories and predictions supporting a great flood. In the end though don't worry about it, it's enough already that we live in fear everyday from the news telling us that this new product and this new study states that we are all going to die from cancer. Anyways don't sweat the future.

And, no other Near Earth Objects are on a collision course with Earth right now or in the foreseeable future................ aliens with death ray guns are NOT on the way--- and a pole shift will occur in maybe another 10,000 years--- no black hole is nearby to swallow the Earth or somehow (against all of Keplers planetary motion laws)- move it off it's orbit, and a solar flare will NOT burn up the Earth.......... and on and on with many more impossible astronomical events.

And, by the way, Mars WILL NOT BE as large as the moon later this year! This is another internet Hoax!

Are there any rumors as to who will be the new head coach of the kings for 09-10?

I was watching the sacramento news the other night and had to leave before the end of the broadcast. At the beginning they said that they would reveal the likely candidates for the new head coach of the kings. Does anyone know who they might be looking into? Thanks.

latest reports have linked that the kings were after successful euroleague head coach ettore messina. also in one of GEoff PEtries interviews he said that one of the qualifications of the head coach is..

1. Has NBA experience
2. Has had head coaching experience
3. Has had some accomplishments..

guys who fit the bill would be.. sam mitchell, AVERY JOHNSON, Jeff van Gundy, Eddie jordan but knowing the petrie he might surprise us with a few other candidates

From what I understand they failed to acquire Artest and Mike Bibby from Sacramento. That's because the Kings had apprehensions that they are getting duped if they trade two of their best players for Haslem and Jason Williams. I don't know if the Heat are still pursuing for Artest.

For Marion, it's the latest news out there, with him demanding a release from the Suns. I believe that the Heat could pursue this one better than the Lakers because they have more interesting chips to bargain than the Lakers who have sub-par quality players. Let's just see what happens.

Well I can translate but to understand them you need to know the context. The first one is fairly simple but for the next 2 you should know who the two people are and what they are talking about and what was in recent news. It would be very had to explain if you're unfamiliar with latest Bollywood gossip. Apart from that the effect is not the same when said in English. That is the reason that poetry and humour can never be translated from one language to another. Even from one culture to another. eg I have seen a lot of Americans who can't get British humour even though it is same language.


1) The first photo: First line says: "All day you sit on your computer". The second line says "Haven't your two minute finished yet".

Well, it basically related to when a child/teenager is sitting at the computer all day and the mother is asking them to get off and do their homework or some other chores. The child keeps on saying "two more minutes" everytime his/her mother comes.


2) First line (Shahrukh Khan is saying to kapil Sharma): "Kapil mein yahan tumhara show khareedne aya hoon". translation: "Kapil I have come here to buy your show"/

Second line (Kapil to Shahrukh): "Why mine, buy "Bigg Bos", the friendship has been restored afterall".

To understand this you need to know who these two people are what show he is talking about. Also you need to know about the show "Bigg Boss". And you also need to know about the historic enmity between Bollywood stat Salman Khan (who also happens to host Bigg Boss this year) and Shahrukh Khan. You also need to know that recently the two were spitting hugging each other and there was a media frenzy claiming that the two have patched up. If you know well about all these things then you'll get the humour. It is actually quite funny.


3) Kapil to Shahrukh: "Soch raha hoon USA ghoom aaoon, free mein": "I am thinking about a holiday in the USA, for free".

Shahrukh to Kapil: "Free mein kaise jayega": "How will you go for free?"

Kapil to Shahrukh: "Sochne ke paise thode hi lagte hain": "It doesn't cost anything to think, does it?"
