I need to find an article within the last year that deals with popular sovereignty and the article must be from a known news website.
I've been searching the internet for a while now to find an article, so some help would be great! Thanks!

A link to a news website would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Here you go.

Do control laws actually work or is this more mass hysteria from the Obama administration?

Thunderous

http://townhall.com/columnists/thomassowell/2013/01/22/do-gun-control-laws-control-guns-n1493958?utm_source=thdaily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=nl

Why does the gun-control zealots never allow facts, logic, or sanity to ever enter the equation?
does = do
EDIT: LOL! The madness is coming ENTIRELY from the blind fanatics supporting this administration with a single critical or logical thought to the contrary.

Answer
Save your breath trying to reason with democrats. Common sense tells everyone but liberals and democrats that ALL human predators dearly hope their targets are unarmed, whether the predator is a home invader, Stalin or Hitler:
-Thomas Jefferson, "Commonplace Book," 1774-1776: ââLaws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."

Even pacifists like Mahatma Gandhi "got it," saying: "Among the many misdeeds of British rule in India, history will look upon the act of depriving a whole nation of arms, as the blackest." An Autobiography, pg 446.

But liberals and democrats always religiously cling to their dogmatic faith that âmore guns leads to more crimeâ no matter how much evidence you shove in their face, including:

-9/27/01 http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/156671⦠are deeply rooted within Swiss culture but the gun crime rate is so low that statistics are not even kept"; âIn addition to the government-provided arms, there are few restrictions on buying weapons.â

-1/15/03 http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/26568⦠BBC: "âIf guns are outlawed only outlaws will have gunsâ" may prove prophetic. Gun crime in the UK is soaring even though it has the strictest gun control laws of any democracy.â
Nine years later: 12/17/12 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-⦠UKâs violent crime rate per 100,000 people is 2,034; USâs is 466.

2/2/11 Daily Telegraph:
-âAs of this month, some 40 ships are in their hands and more than 800 crew held captive in these seas south of the Gulf of Aden.
-âThe safest ships of all are flying the Russian flag: armed guards aboard them simply blow pirate boats out of the water and leave any survivors to drown. Attacks on Russian vessels have abruptly ceased.â (Do you think thereâs a message there, one that most liberals or democrats seem capable of comprehending?)

-7/25/12 http://articles.nydailynews.com/2012-07-⦠1950 all but one mass-murders in the U. S. where more than three people died were committed in gun-free zones. The Gun-Free Schools Zone Act was passed in 1990.

-9/25/12 http://www.ft.com/cms/s/2/5c1b6a72-c5eb-â¦
âBut almost 30 years after the law [which mandates that all households own at least one firearm for self-protection] was passed, it is still in place and still popular, not least because Kennesawâs crime rate has remained disproportionately low, even as the townâs population swelled from 5,000 in 1982 to almost 35,000 now. According to the latest FBI statistics, Kennesaw recorded 31 violent crimes â mainly robberies and aggravated assaults â during 2008. In other similar-sized local towns the figures were much higher â 127 in Dalton and 188 in Hinesville. For property crimes â largely burglaries and thefts â Kennesaw recorded 555 while Dalton had 1,124 and Hinesville 1,802.â

-11/23/12 http://www.timesdispatch.com/news/local/⦠2006-2011 gun purchases in Virginia increased 73%. During the same period gun-related crimes fell 24%.

-1/6/13 http://www.forbes.com/sites/larrybell/20â¦According to Bureau of Justice Statistics, the firearm crime rate dropped from 6 victims per 1,000 residents in 1994 to 1.4 victims per 1,000 residents in 2009. This has occurred as more and more citizens have armed themselves under right-to-carry State laws. While major crimes show continuing decline in those States, this phenomenon parallels a major crime rise in heavily gun-controlled cities.

-U. S. Department of Justice http://bjs.ojp.usdoj.gov/content/pub/pdf/vdhb.pdf: 3.7 million household burglaries occurred each year on average from 2003 to 2007; a household member was present in roughly 1 million burglaries and became victims of violent crimes in 266,560 burglaries. [meaning the police didnât show up in time]

When seconds count the police are only minutes away.
-----
As to the democrat mantra, âCall 911â:

-In Warren v. District of Columbia (1981), the D.C. Court of Appeals ruled, âpolice personnel and the government employing them are not generally liable to victims of criminal acts for failure to provide adequate police protection . . . . [A] government and its agents are under no general duty to provide public services, such as police protection, to any particular citizen.â In Bowers v. DeVito (1982), the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals ruled âTHERE IS NO CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO BE PROTECTED BY THE STATE AGAINST BEING MURDERED BY A CRIMINALS OR MADMEN.â

I've thought about starting up something like this to help out myself and other unpublished/self-published writers that I know. There might be writing tips, interviews, news releases, etc.; but mostly it would serve to build up interest for any of us that have ebooks for sale.

This wouldn't be a for-profit site designed to gouge money from desperate writers (there are enough of those already); more like a community of writers helping each other out.

Answer
I actually think this is a great idea!

With a self-hosted domain name and a well-designed site this could be a great place for writers of all ages to be featured. Heck, I'd even be interested so long as the site is managed well and asks good questions.

Also, with strong social media presence and good promotion it could even have the potential to become a popular site. I say go for it!

Which brand of dry and canned food is considered the best?

FelineSwor

I've noticed that Purina is the most popular, but that is commercially. How about the quality?

Answer
Nutrition since there are so many bad things out there is very important to your catâs health
Contrary to what you may have heard; dry foods are not a great thing to feed a cat.
Please read the label on what you are feeding? What are the ingredients? Do you know what they mean? Is the first ingredient a muscle meat like chicken or meal or other things?
http://www.catinfo.org/#Learn_How_To_Reaâ¦
http://www.sniksnak.com/ac/petfooddefinitions.html
Dry foods are the number 1 cause of diabetes in cats as well as being a huge contributing factor to kidney disease, obesity, crystals, u.t.iâs, constipation, and a host of other problems. Male cats are especially prone to blockages
from dry food. Food allergies are very common when feeding dry foods. Rashes, scabs behind the tail and on the chin are all symptoms The problems associated with Dry food is that they are loaded with grains and carbohydrates which many cats (carnivores) cannot process. ( Have a fat cat?)
An even bigger problem is that it IS dry and it dehydrates no matter how much your cat drinks
Most of the moisture a cat needs is suppose to be in the food. Cats are not naturally big drinkers.
95% of the moisture is zapped out of dry foods in the processing. Think about it.
Another thing, most use horrible ingredients and don't use a muscle meat as the primary ingredient and use vegetable based protein versus animal. Not good for an animal that has to eat meat to survive.
http://www.catinfo.org/#My_Cat_is_Doing_Just_Fine_on_Dry_Food
You want to pick a canned food w/o gravy (gravy=carbs) that uses a muscle meat as the first ingredient and doesn't have corn at least in the first 3 ingredients if at all.
THE BEST CAT FOODS CONTAIN NO GRAINS NO BYPRODUCTS
Cats are meat eaters not cereal or rice eaters
Fancy feast is a middle grade food with 9lives, friskies whiskas lower grade canned and wellness and merrick upper grade human quality foods. I would rather feed a middle grade canned food then the top of the line dry food.
Also, dry food is not proven to be better for teeth. Does a hard pretzel clean your teeth or do pieces of it get stuck in between.

What should I write my persuasive essay about?

popular news photos image

Euclace

The subject is supposed to be pop culture, somehow relating popular cultural trends to the values of U.S. society at large (eg, Rihanna and Chris Brown or whoever getting into domestic abuse disputes being indicative of kids growing up too fast or of violence becoming more or less acceptable). He also said we could write about anything we wanted as long as we had an argument, but I think he'd prefer that we met his guidelines.

So what should I write about?

Answer
Argue about how society is influenced by the following quirky aspects of society:

__A. SLANG TALK: Each generation's popular social practices, often become accepted into our formal language and lexicon. In linguistics, the lexicon of a language is its vocabulary, including its words and expressions. What is understood as the âgeneral vocabularyâ is itself an ongoing social process which privileges certain groups and perspectives; therefore, despite its critics, the slang talk that becomes apart of the general vocabulary, is created by a "privileged" class of people.
__B. -FOOD: In each culture there are both acceptable and unacceptable foods, though this is not determined by whether or not something is edible...it is determined by the values, beliefs, and attitudes of the culture. For example, Americans have become a nation of Fast Food Junkies which is largely in part because of our instant-gratification, fast-paced lifestyles in an individualistic culture. Whereas, some other cultures view our "fast food addiction" as absurd and disgusting. Likewise, horses, turtles, and dogs are eaten (and even considered a delicacy) in some cultures, though they are unacceptable food sources in other cultures.
__C. -PHOBIAS: These fears come in all different, and sometime strange, forms. Cross-cultural psychologists point out that phobias are influenced by cultural factors. Agoraphobia, for example, is much more common in the United States and Europe than in other areas of the world. A social phobia common in Japan but almost nonexistent in the West is "taijin kyofusho", an incapacitating fear of harming others through one's own awkward social behavior or imagined physical defect.
--SCHOOL BURN-OUT: This controversial issue is concerning the amount of school-related activities and requirements young people face now in school or the community and how that often leads to "school burn-out." Faced with an unlimited amount of choices combined with the pressure of a fast-paced-world, young people are spreading their selves too thin by engaging in a number of commitments. Besides physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion, there are several more pressing consequences of school burn-out.
--YELLOW JOURNALISM: Media for many people are a source of information on topics and news. But the current trend has showed how sensationalism in journalism is becoming widespread. These sensational and scandalous stories are called "Yellow Journalism," which is journalism that exploits, distorts, or exaggerates the news to create sensations and attract readers or viewers. Tired of news on TV that exploit other people's misfortunes? Why it is unethical for journalists to make money from stories on victimizations, scandals, natural disasters, deaths, and war?
--CYBER-BULLYING: (cyberbullying is defined as "willful and repeated harm inflicted through the use of computers, cell phones, and other electronic devices.") Cyber-bullying has grown as a means of threatening, intimidating or harassing others over the past several years. It can take many forms, including posting private or embarrassing photos of someone, developing websites to rate peopleâs appearance, creating hateful blogs about someone, stealing electronic passwords, or spreading lies. This controversial issue explores the arguments of censorship, the freedom of speech, the definition of 'willful harm/harassment.'

The following are questions and topics that can easily be structured to fit a persuasive essay format:
--Do you agree or disagree with the following statements? Modern technology is creating a single world culture... OR... Telephones / email have made communication between people less personal.
--When famous people such as actors, athletes and rock stars give their opinions, many people listen. Do you think we should pay attention to these opinions?

Who was responsible for the death of Myspace?

popular news june 2011 image

.

Myspace was the most famous website of all time then came facebook and youtube and it's popularity started to decline. Why? Who was responsible for not making innovations so that myspace could compete with facebook? NAMES PLEASE!

Answer
When the two main co-founders stepped down in mid April of 2009, Tom Anderson as the President and Chris DeWolf as the CEO, there were three changes of presidents, and CEO's, who made changes to MySpace, that most users disagreed with. The last President under the full ownership of News Corp, re-branded the site two times, with the last being MySpace, as a social entertainment destination. They also kept adding features that most users didn't want, and removing features that were highly popular such as the groups, and them replacing them with something titled Threads, which Mike Jones the last President under the full ownership was told by the moderators would not be acceptable to users.

I suspect that both Tom, and Chris advised, against such a move, but News Corp decided under the guidance of those who followed the departure of Tom and Chris, to go forward with the changes that were made, and then decided anyone over the age of twenty five years old weren't significant in numbers, and cater more towards the thirteen to twenty five years of age users whom, they by some manner determined to be those of the most significant relevance to the site, and it's future. That the loss of the older users wasn't going to be of any significance to the future of the site. Mike Jones also didn't allow the users enough time to adapt to the 2.0 profiles before rolling the 3.0 version in 2010. Which caused even more users to either delete their accounts, or abandon them. Basically Mike approved of the changes made in the last eighteen months he was the President of MySpace. So blame the brass at News Corp (not so much Rupert Murdoch though), and those that were appointed to run MySpace, after the departure of Tom and Chris, for the downfall of MySpace.

The only name I really have to give out, and where the bulk of the blame can be placed is Mike Jones, who departed about three months after News Corp sold ninety five percent ownership to Specific Media, and Justin Timberlake, in June of 2011. News Corp, though still seems to have a significant input into what is done and where MySpace goes in the future based on what has transpired since September of 2011, when the forums were removed, and it was decided that the groups wouldn't be returned as had been announced at one time by the new owners.

How did Secretariat reform spectators perspectives on horse racing?

Kayla

Can someone answer this question with proof

Answer
Secretariat Winning Triple Crown gave new hope, breathing new life into the sport. Secretariat in 1973 became the first U.S. Triple Crown champion in 25 years, setting new race records in two of the three events in the Seriesâthe Kentucky Derby (1:592â5), and the Belmont Stakes (2:24) He won by a jaw-dropping 31 lengths. all records that still stand today. The triple Crown, a feat so difficult that no horse had accomplished it in the 25 years prior to Secretariat and no horse has won it in the past 33. As Secretariat came to the Belmont Stakes back in June 1973, with a chance to become the first Triple Crown winner in a quarter of a century, Secretariat led the news headlines in North America. The Big Red Horse made the covers of Time, Newsweek and Sports Illustrated... something that hadnât happened before, or since. Here's the photo link, Time Mag- http://www.time.com/time/covers/0,16641,19730611,00.html

Even after the Triple Crown Secretariat continued to prove himself as one of the top Thoroughbreds of all time. And, at age three, Secretariat was again named Horse of the Year, and won Eclipse Awards as the American Champion Three-Year-Old Male Horse and the American Champion Male Turf Horse.

Proof also in Posthumous recognition-

On October 16, 1999, in the winner's circle at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, the U.S. Postal Service honored Secretariat, unveiling a 33-cent postage stamp with his image. ESPN listed him 35th of the 100 greatest North American athletes of the 20th century, the highest of three non-humans on the list (the other two were also racehorses: Man o' War at 84th and Citation at 97th ). Secretariat was inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in 1974, the year following his Triple Crown. In 2005, he appeared in ESPN Classic's show "Who's No. 1?". In the list of "Greatest Sports Performances" (by individual athletes), the horse was the only nonhuman on the list, with his run at Belmont ranking second behind Wilt Chamberlain's 100-point game. On May 2, 2007, Secretariat was inducted into the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame, marking the first time an animal received this honor. Secretariat, a Disney live-action film written by Mike Rich and directed by Randall Wallace, was released on October 8, 2010. A new award created in 2011 titled "Secretariat Vox Populi" (voice of the people) was presented by Penny Chenery to the first honoree, the 2010 Horse of the Year, Zenyatta. This annual award will acknowledge the horse that brings the most excitement and attraction to the sport.

In stud, Secretariat sired such future champions as 1988 Preakness and Belmont winner Risen Star and 1986 Horse of the Year Lady's Secret. But none of his offspring came close to matching the standard he set. He remained a popular figure even after Secretariat Mania subsided. But his life ended tragically. Suffering from laminitis -- a painful hoof disease -- the 19-year-old superstar was given a lethal injection on Oct. 4, 1989, at Claiborne Farm in Paris, Ky.

Quote- "It was a terrible day for all of us," Claiborne president Seth Hancock said. "We just couldn't stand to see him suffer." "And, To this day, Secretariat remains one of the first names everyone thinks of whenever the topic of horse racing comes up. "It's hard to believe after all these years," Chenery said, "but hardly a day goes by that I don't get mail about Secretariat."

So, bottom line seldom does performance match excessive expectation as it did with Secretariat.

FACTS/PROOF IN SOURCE.

What is the purpose of news? Do you think in today's time the news is doing what its intention is?

popular news reporters
on Theres no easy way to hear bad news. From spiralling petrol prices ...
popular news reporters image

bballmvp61

I feel as if the purpose of the news is to provide us with information. But as I analyze the news, the stories that they are showing are not what they used to be. For example the news would consist mostly of war updates, or state what is going on. News today is more random stories that gets their station more viewers. Am I the only one who sees it that way?

Answer
You try putting a whole countries news, as well as international news into a half hour show.
And at the same time, keep everyone happy in terms of what they want to hear and what they dont.

Its impossible.

There is two sides to every story. Producers of news programs struggle daily as to what they should air, what is popular to air , what is necessary to air, what has to be aired, whether they air something and what reaction it has from viewers. As well as fit in sponsored commercials (which everyone hates) that pays for the news show to be produced.
Keeping in mind, in that hakf a hour show. Ten minutes is taken up by sport and weather. Possibly another five minutes of sponsored commercials.
So there goes 15 minutes of the news show already, without even telling anyone any news.

Feel like being a news show producer?............

As i said, its impossible to keep everyone happy in regards to what they want to hear.

I could go on..........After all that. The producer also has bosses and network bosses they have to report to. Questioned as to why they did not show a particular news story and lost ratings to another network.

So your copping it from the viewers for not telling every news story in the country in a half hour show , as well as international news. And your copping it from behind, by you network bosses because of ratings.

What you want to hear you have to google. Its the only way. Because prime time news can not fit all that news in a half hour show OR an hour show.
In fact, if they told you every news story there was, it would be a 24 hour show, running around the clock without stopping.

Ask yourself how much despair and bad news do you want. Because quite simply, all news is bad news.
Your not going to hear how your neighbour planted roses on a sunny day.
Your going to hear about war, rapes , car accidents, volcanoes, terrorism or any other million bad things.

And even if they did do all that that you request, then you would be complaining you can not understand the news reporter. You dont like their hairstyle. You dont like their makeup. His/her nose is too big.
Blah blah blah!

Just do what everyone else does. Buy a newspaper and read it at your own pace.

how do I get a local news show to do a story on my business?

jhnyblayze

I am getting ready to start a new business. I have seen morning news shows do a story on other local businesses and I was wondering how I go about getting them to do one on mine. Any info would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Answer
I would suggest you look at your business just as you would with composing a business plan.

Make a list of all the things you are doing that are not done elsewhere.

Then take these examples and combine them with other trends in the area or nation, and especially events reported on the news.

If national marketing statistics indicate a new or renewed interest in your business, then combine this information with visual examples to interest a news team.

If I knew about your business, I might be able to help more. But just as an example: Heading into Recession, pawn shops and betting parlors are becoming more popular, as are used-clothing outlets and swap shops.

These might be local businesses which are different and newsworthy.

Just opening a hairdressing shop like any other hairdressing shop would not be of interest, and most likely will be on the list of businesses feeling the economic pinch with fewer customers each month.

With restaurants expected to close due to the economic downturn, then what is being done at this restaurant to blunt the impact?

Once you have put your finger on something newsworthy, then contact the local newspaper and television stations with your news tip. For the newspaper, make sure you contact the type of reporter (business, lifestyle, science, environmental etc.) who might be interested.

Hope this these examples and this answer helps you.

According to the latest FBI statistics, Kennesaw recorded 31 violent crimes â mainly robberies and aggravated assaults â during 2008. In other similar-sized local towns the figures were much higher â 127 in Dalton and 188 in Hinesville. Don't tell me it's buddhism because their monks are taking the lead in so much killing of people in Myanmar (Burma) and also getting this way in Sri Lanka. They oppress Christians and Muslims in those countries among others. The following links give the brutal details.

Don't say Hindu either, they are just as violent. Read the news.

Don't say Catholic or Protestant because we all know they fought against their own people in the World wars. And Please look at Northern Ireland.

What is a religion where the people don't go to war and Love their neighbors. There has to be something better out there. This world is going crazy, their must be peace.
@ 'amrit' I don't care if buddhists and sikhs don't kill animals. They kill people. Please pick up a newspaper and read it.

Their must be peace.

Answer
Thank you for your question. This might not be the popular answer but I know of only one International Religion or Organization whose members have never gone to war or killed anyone.

It is JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES.

http://www.jw.org/en/

Jesus taught the following.......

(John 13:35) By this all will know that You are my disciples, if You have LOVE among yourselves.â

(Matthew 5:44) However, I say to You: Continue to LOVE YOUR ENEMIES and to pray for those persecuting You;

That is exactly what Jehovah's Witnesses do.

Is Atlanta's WSBTV Channel 2 Action News a credible, trustworthy news station?

celebrities gossip rumors
on Celebrity Gossip Crash: Lindsay Lohan fuels lesbian rumors
celebrities gossip rumors image

Hurpus

I live in the Atlanta metro area in Cherokee county and I hear advertisements every morning on the radio for WSBTV Channel 2 Action News on my way to work. I've never recalled a news station, either local, state, or national for that matter, advertise as much as they have, and what they do advertise for seems extremely tabloid and sensational in nature. They're always talking about "investigating" corrupt city officials and organizations and "discovering" where your tax dollars are wasted. Every day it's a different "investigation" that miraculously yields some revelation about Atlanta public workers and officials. They always end with "Join Justin Farmer and Jovita Moore as they uncover the truth on WSBTV's Channel 2 Action News. Coverage you can count on."

Ordinarily, I might be interested in these stories if they were few and far between making it seem like they really uncovered something and were being upfront and honest about it, but when it's daily routine and they're constantly talking about how every public worker or official is guilty of something and how we should be outraged by this "news," it comes off as tabloid material I'd expect from grocery store magazines and celebrity gossip mostly to boost ratings, compromising their credibility. I don't even recall them ever doing advertisements for non-rumor or gossip type stories, like public events, charities, schools, etc. It's always "Look what we uncovered! Crime and corruption! Tune in and find out!" Can anybody confirm this?

Answer
Credibility and trustworthiness depend on what you are looking for in the news. It sounds like for what you are interested in (public events and less "crime and corruption" types of stories), channel 11 WXIA might actually be more what catches your attention.

However, as far as I've seen, all the stations, when reporting on the same stories, are about the same. Channel 2 does do more stories in Cherokee County than the other stations, though. They tend to be out in the western suburbs more than the other stations. Channel 5 (Fox) stays more in Fulton, Gwinnett, and DeKalb Counties. The other stations have their areas they seem to do the majority of their reporting from, as well. They all go to anywhere, but they have areas they report on more often; presumably due to the location of their station.

Did people not criticize celebrities much until roughly 2002?

I think over recent years we've started hating on celebrities more than we used to. I'm not sure though because I'm not very old. Did we chirp celebs all the time like we kind of do now back in say, 1995? I know Madonna did all kinds of crazy stuff in the 80s, but I wonder if people saw her like we see Lindsay Lohan now? But the bad press of celebrities tends to be forgotten over time, so maybe that's why.

Answer
There has been bad press and celebrity criticizing and gossip since the 1920's silent film stars

It's nothing new at all - it's just that media communication is more easily available and widespread so rumors get started and spread more quickly

I don't look at anything totally inappropriate, just news sites and celebrity gossip stuff....and yahooanswers. do you think they know what i'm looking at online? should i be more careful? It's hard to resist...

Answer
Depends on your employer... gossip sites and yahoo answers you can get away with. I would stay off sicial networking sites such as MySpace or Facebook and of course porn or gaming sites. Most companies will ban inappropriate sites so that you can't even acess them. Many companies randomly monitor internet usage so you can be looking at porn for years and never get caught but don't take chances. Depends on what they have set up, it can automatically trigger what you type or what website you access. I would also suggest you don't check your personal e-mail just in case it contains spam or viruses that can spread via your company's network and then you're really in trouble.

Can a gossip site use your photo and say things about you, without permission?

DH

Can a gossip site that covers celebrity and 'local' gossip put a photo of you up and say something about you and let people comment about you as well? For some reason I thought there was a law protecting people from such slander.

Answer
Slander is a type of defamation. Slander is an untruthful oral (spoken) statement about a person that harms the person's reputation or standing in the community. Because slander is a tort (a civil wrong), the injured person can bring a lawsuit against the person who made the false statement. If the statement is made via broadcast media -- for example, over the radio or on TV -- it is considered libel, rather than slander, because the statement has the potential to reach a very wide audience.

Have you ever cross dressed for a costume party or any other reason?

I am going to a costume party soon and thought it might be a good laugh to dress up in drag and pretend to be a woman. Have you ever dressed as the opposite gender for a costume, what did you dress as and how good did you look? And do you have any suggestions?

Answer
Both my bf and I have cross dressed for Halloween. He wasn't exactly like a full on drag queen, he was a "Hogette", it's a group of guys that dress up kind of like women but put on a hog nose. Washington Redskins fans are the ones that do this.

A few years later I dressed up like a scary looking hobo. I got some of my bf's old jeans and old t-shirt with a camo jacket, got them really dirty. I tore the toes to an old pair of loafers I had and put on this scary looking old man mask and a beanie. And I carried an empty bottle of Busch in a paper sack. It was hilarious, one of the best costumes of the night.

Think about a woman that has been in the news like Lindsey Lohan in jail, or Angelina Jolie with a ton of kids attached to you, or Kim Kardashian with the huge butt, you can let people put drinks on it. Make it funny like that, because a full on drag like RuPaul might come across weird. I hope this helps. Have fun!

Why is Kim Kardashian making 90% profit off Philippine typhoon victims and does she care?

Blatantly

Kim Kardashian says sheâs contributing a portion of the sales on ebay to International Medical Corps for the Philippineâs typhoon relief, FACT: what she DOESN'T tell us is itâs ONLY 10% given to the relief effort. Opportunism at itâs very finest, if she really wanted to help towards the relief effort sheâd give 100% of the profit and also donate some of the 40 MILLION+ of her worth! This isnât the 1st time KimK has feigned being philanthropic, sheâs done this before using other disasters trolling for our money on ebay.

Celebuzz generous statement:
Kim Kardashian says "Hi guys, this is a very special auction because a portion of the proceeds of my eBay auction are going to International Medical Corps, which is a nonprofit organization that provides critical health services on remote islands where families are struggling to access medical care and basic resources like food, clean drinking water and vital medications. The proceeds will go directly to the communities theyâre serving in the Philippines and will help typhoon survivors get access to medical care and ultimately save lives. My prayers and thoughts are with those affected by the typhoon. Check out my eBay auction here and support those who need our help in the Philippines. Xo"
Do you think she cares or has a conscience at all using a disaster to make bank?

Below is Yahoo omg story and Kim's Celebuzz link:

Answer
Anyone who tries to act as if they are being altruistic IMO doesn't seem to have their heart in the cause when they are not transparent as to how much they really are contributing which in fact is a paltry percent and yet act as if they are being extremely kind and benevolent.
It's false and expecting others to admire you for this and the people truly suffering to be elated receiving a meager crumb of the whole is elitist at it's very core.

Kim Kardashian should be ashamed, unlikely she will feel a conscience since she has done this before and will continue.

Why are white children always abducted by pedophiles over other race of children?

Naki

I know I'm not the only one who noticed this...everytime I watch those mystery shows on lifetime, or investigation discovery the phedo's always abduct little white boys and girls over any other race of children. EXAMPLE: "Little Johny Carson was only 6 years old when Robert Smith adbucted him from his suburban home last year". I barely see black, Hispanic or Asian children getting abducted when I know it happens.

Answer
Actually lots of minority children are kidnapped every year. They're parents complain and are very upset that thier children don't ever get half of the publicity that the white children do. For some reason the media leaves people to believe that it's rare for a black, Hispanic or Asian child to be kidnapped. This just isn't true; all children are equally vulnerable, especially if they go to public school (any race or sex of teacher could possibly be a pedophile). Last year a Latina girl, about 9 years old, went missing and they still haven't found her. I have yet to hear a news story on her, and I watch the news constantly. A couple months later a young white girl (around 4) also went missing. There was an Amber Alert across all 4 of the counties around where she went, and helpful strangers were literally walking out of thier homes with flashlights to go looking for her themselves. Within 4 hours she was found alive about 3 hours from her home in a feild lost and tired but completely unharmed.
People deny it, but there is clearly a double standard when it comes to television media and missing children.
But if you read the newspaper, there are "Have You Seen Me?" ads in the back of every single one, and you'd be surprised at how many children of every race have gone missing, and not a single news story on them is to be found.

What has happened so far in Pretty Little Liars?

Julia

I want to know everything. Seasons 1, 2, and 3. To the most latest episode. Thank you :)

Answer
Well a lot has happened and I really think you should try to watch the episodes but if you can't I would suggest reading the wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pretty_Little_Liars_%28TV_series%29

The pilot episode begins with 5 girls drinking and sharing secrets at a sleepover. Later that night one of the girls, Aria, wakes up to see that Spencer and Alison are not there, Spencer walks up & Aria asks her where Ali is, Spence responds "she's gone, I think I heard a scream". The show then jumps ahead to a year later showing a news paper with a picture of Ali saying she is still missing. The other 4 girls are all reunited after Aria spent a year in Iceland. Right after Aria gets back she is at a restaurant and meets Ezra Fitz at the bar, she soon finds out he's her teacher but continues to date him anyway (she still is). Spencer kisses her sister fiance Wren. All of the girls start to get text messages with secrets only Ali knew about them from someone calling their self A. The girls assume Alison is alive, until the police find her body. At Alison's funeral Jenna Marshall walks in. Who we learn that Alison blinded by throwing a firework into a building she was in, the girls have been keeping this a secret. Jenna had been forcing her stepbrother Toby to be "involved" with her (that's how the show usually words it). Toby was believed to have killed Alison, after A planted his sweater with Ali's blood on it in his closet (he had actually been talking to Ali & gave her his sweater because she was cold). Later Spencer was framed but was never actually on trial, during this time Spence realized that someone was framing Toby & then began to date him (they are still together, though they briefly broke up). Hanna meets bad boy Caleb, who has a shady phone hacking business & he soon becomes her boyfriend (he has a foster mom who doesn't care about him, and briefly secretly lived in Hanna's basement. He now has met his real mom), Hanna & Caleb are still together. Emily is gay and struggled to accept it at first (but now she fully embraces it & has had 3 GFs). Spence's sister Melissa's exboyfriend Ian (who Alison had had an affair with) comes back to town & they quickly get married and she becomes pregnant. A then leads the girls to believe Ian is Ali's killer, and the girls discover that he had been videoing girls changing clothes etc. (they later realized he had people helping him with this, the NAT club, which Ali's older brother Jason was a member of). Ian tries to kill Spencer in the church, but someone in a black hoodie pushes him down the belltower and he is hanging by the ropes, when the police get there the body is gone. A later makes it look as is Ian committed suicide leaving a fake suicide note saying he killed Ali. The girls continue trying to figure out who A is & eventually find out it's Hanna's friend Mona who was bullied by Alison. Alison had also received messages by A before she died & had used the disguise of "Vivian Darkbloom" to spy on A. After Mona was locked up in Radley sanitarium the girls continued to get A messages proving there is more than one A. Spencer realizes Ali's brother Jason is her half brother. Garrett (a slightly creepy police officer who is friends with Jenna) is charged with Alison's murder. Jenna gets a surgery so she can see again, but hides it for several months. Emily's girlfriend Maya was murdered. Emily is found standing over Alison's empty grave holding a shovel, and she can't remember anything. Someone stole Ali's remains. A sends the girls a necklace made with Alison's teeth. Melissa continues pretend to be pregnant for several months after she loses the baby. It is later proven that Garrett is innocent & A was just playing with the girls again.

how people read wach and hear abut news today and in the past?

Answer
Until the invention of the printing press "news" was passed by word of mouth, towns had Town Criers that stood in the town square and shouted out news.
The printed word was the ONLY means of spreading news, then the telegraph and later the telephone speeded up the ability to send the news to distant places.
Finally radio and then television made it possible for every household to have access to news all the time.

I seem to have the same routine on the internet every day where I read online news, read fashion blogs, read fml.com, read celebrity gossip, read a vegan forum and watch youtube if there is a song I don't have that I want to hear. I am so bored of my sites and was wondering if anyone has any interesting sites that they like to visit that they could share with me. I'm not into playing online games or social networking. Thanks!

Answer
www.bored.com has links to interesting websites to view. Best of luck!

What are the chances that my employer is monitoring what I view on the internet?

Zanzibar
