I'm sure there will be the usual silence from the MSM liberal talking heads owns by this admin.

This is an example of how this white house consistently operates. One part will say yes the next day another part say no.

Apparently he issued an executive order to have all trials at Gitmo stopped.

The charges against suspected al-Qaida bomber Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri marked the last active Guantanamo war crimes case.

"It was her decision, but it reflects the fact that the president has issued an executive order which mandates that the military commissions be halted, pending the outcome of several reviews of our operations down at Guantanamo," Morrell said late Thursday night

Apparently they are not happy with the way cases are being handled at Gitmo.

In light of the news, does the community of atheists and liberals owe patriotic Americans a crouching apology?

The liberal online magazine Salon published an opinion piece Tuesday evening by columnist David Sirota entitled, âLetâs hope the Boston Marathon bomber is a white American.â

Sirota argued that if the perpetrator of Mondayâs bombing attack, which left at least three people dead, is identified as a Muslim, then conservative Republicans will use the tragedy to block Obama administration policy goals like immigration reform.

[...]Sirota is not the only liberal media commentator to attempt to politicize Mondayâs tragedy. CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer speculated on a link between Patriots Day and the motive behind the bombings, while NBC News reporter Luke Russert speculated that the 1993 Waco siege, which occurred on Patriots Day, might have inspired a right-wing terrorist in Boston.

New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof used the tragedy to attack Republican politicians, tweeting Monday, âExplosion is a reminder that ATF needs a director. Shame on Senate Republicans for blocking apptment.â Kristof later apologized for the tweet.

Sirota has employed attention-grabbing, race-baiting rhetoric in the past.

Sirota said in December, in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre, that a new profiling system should be established to monitor mentally-ill individuals, but that Republicans would not support that effort because it would mean profiling white men

Soooooo, cupcake, I see you're making the bold choice to ignore the right-wing bigots in the Twitterverse who have been screaming that all immigration should be shut down while ignoring the fact that the VAST majority of terrorism perpetrated in the US in the last 40 years has been home-grown to kvetch about an opinion piece.

Very narrow of you.

Almost Double of Deportable Muslims Since the Obama Presidency

http://news.investors.com/ibd-editorials/052313-657568-restrict-visas-from-hostile-muslim-countries.htm?p=full

According to DHS(Department of Homeland Security), there are 87 deportable alien fugitives from Kazakhstan still at large in the U.S. Thatâs in addition to the 50 from Afghanistan, 164 from Egypt; 101 from Iran; 94 from Iraq; nine from Libya; 384 from Pakistan; 79 from Somalia; 45 from Sudan; 77 from Yemen; and 126 from Saudi Arabia â a number that has almost doubled during the Obama administration.

A number of recent terrorist cases call into question Washington's push to give amnesty to all illegal immigrants, including those from hostile Muslim countries.

The latest case involves a possibly illegal Chechen immigrant who reportedly stabbed an FBI agent in Orlando.

Ibragim Todashev was close to confessing to a triple homicide in Boston when he suddenly lunged at the agent during an interview. The Muslim man was then shot dead.

Todashev, who'd traveled recently to the al-Qaida hotspot of Chechnya, was pals with Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev.

Todashev reportedly implicated Tsarnaev in a grisly mass murder in Boston on the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Three men, at least two of whom were Jewish, were found with their throats slashed.

This was the same year â 2011 â Russian intelligence warned the FBI that Tsarnaev was a dangerous jihadist.

It's now clear the near-beheadings were an act of terrorism. It's also now clear that Chechen immigrants pose a serious security risk. What's not known is how many Chechen terrorists have infiltrated America.

USA Today estimates some 200 Chechens live in the U.S. â most of them in the Boston area, where there appears to be a network of jihadists tied to Chechnya.

A number of Arab men living in Boston started training for jihad in Chechnya after Osama bin Laden in 1995 ordered the creation of a terrorist training camp there to prepare international terrorists to carry out attacks against America and the West. Some had ties to the 9/11 terrorists who hijacked the Boston flights.

Chechnya is not the only place of concern. The two co-conspirators of surviving Boston bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who earlier this month were charged with hiding evidence and lying to federal agents, emigrated from the Muslim nation of Kazakhstan.

Azamat Tazhayakov and Dias Kadyrbayev were in the U.S. on invalid student visas. Tazhayakov had his visa terminated on Jan. 4, yet was allowed to re-enter the country on Jan. 20.

Homeland Security Director Janet Napolitano recently acknowledged the government has no system to monitor foreign students. Astoundingly, DHS agents are having to manually check student visa information.

Little wonder DHS can't round up and deport hundreds of absconders.

According to DHS, there are 87 deportable alien fugitives from Kazakhstan still at large in the U.S. That's in addition to the 50 from Afghanistan, 164 from Egypt; 101 from Iran; 94 from Iraq; nine from Libya; 384 from Pakistan; 79 from Somalia; 45 from Sudan; 77 from Yemen; and 126 from Saudi Arabia â a number that has almost doubled during the Obama administration.

Last week, Massachusetts police arrested several Saudi and Pakistani immigrants, all chemical engineering students, for trespassing at a major state reservoir, which, if poisoned, would sicken millions.

Also, Customs agents recently arrested a Saudi immigrant who tried to smuggle into the U.S. a banned pressure cooker like the ones used by the Boston bombers.

Enough is enough.

It's time for Washington to put a moratorium on immigration from these violent regions, and step up apprehension of dangerous immigrants living illegally in the U.S. It's clear they pose a real and present threat to Americans â including law enforcement officers.

Deportation is key to getting rid of plotting jihadists inside the U.S. Round them up and kick them out. And, while we're at it, pull up the welcome mat to high-risk Muslim nations. By inviting more visitors from countries that harbor resentment against us, we're simply inviting more terrorist attacks.

Europe opened its borders to Muslim immigrants and now deeply regrets it.

Parts of Sweden's suburbs are now in flames, as hundreds of Muslim youths riot against police.

We can avoid the same fate by stopping churning out visas, and letting law enforcement absorb the many threats already inside our borders.

Do you think Jahar is guilty?

Julia

When it comes to cases, my friends and I argue a lot. Every huge popular case thats all over the news we have to fight about. And right now, its Jahars.

Half of us think hes guilty, half of us dont.
I am one of them who thinks he isnt, but please dont jump on me. I just think there isnt enough evidence. Once the trial actually begins and if they get more and better evidence, I might change. But for now I think hes not guilty.

The reasons why is
1) the media is lying about a lot of things hes saying. Such as he hijacked the car and told the driver they were the boston bombers, yet a day later there was a video of him yelling not guilty. Also about the letter on the boat that he left. If I remember correctly, when I watched the news it said that they completely destroyed the boat during the process of getting it, yet the letter was written on the side of the boat.
2) the pictures are also false. During the marathon they had pictures of jahars brother (im sorry im not using there names. I cant spell them at all) and he had NO beard. At all. But then they used security footage and said this was them at the gas station after the bombing, and he had a beard.
3) the backpacks. On the backpack that was laid down, there was a logo on it. On jahars backpack there was no logo.
4) this one isnt exactly proven, but its just a thought. Supposedly (told by media) A day before the marathon they went to the gym, yet they both wore the same exact clothes the day of the marathon. So if they actually went the day OF the marathon, the walk route from the gym to where they live would have them walk through the marathon.

I have others but I dont feel like writting it out.

Dont judge me for the way I think, just an opinion.
now whats yours?

Does anybody in here know?

Or are we so fascinated by the latest news over the Boston Marathon bomber, and the 3 women who had been kept in confinement in Cleveland, and the accusations over Benghazi, that we've all forgotten last month's hot arguments over deficits and budget cuts to social and military programs?

Answer
Nobody's going to care until Obama is long out of office and all the consequences from this are conveniently blamed on whoever the next sucker is to take residency in the White House.

How big is the cell that carried out the bombing in Boston?

Goerge

The associates seem as determined as they were. Ibragim Todashev was shot and killed today or LATE last night. He is a friend on one of the bombers. "agent was conducting official duties when the shooting occurred." comes from http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Latest-News-Wires/2013/0522/Tsarnaev-friend-killed-in-Orlando-by-FBI . Agent as in singular? Agent going to POSSIBLY conduct a follow-up interview? The other friend seemed to be painting the FBI in the bad light. Are we just seeing the crumbs or were the brothers the tip of the iceberg the government is now aware of but we are of course in the dark. Wonder how many of our clandestine agents are in Chechnya as we speak carrying out covert missions.
@ AJ The FBI shooting the friend IS WHAT MY QUESTION was about. Skipping the question's content can leave you in the dark.

Why yes I have heard about it and the FBI story WAS the catalyst for this question. I even provided the link.
I wouldn't be so sure there isn't a cell. The mother, the brother and now friends OUTSIDE of the family. It's a bit more than two guys that felt their religion had been disrespected. This story is far from over.

Answer
Yes, I wonder the same thing. For now it seems that only the brothers were involved but they are still investigating. Did you catch the breaking news that an FBI agent shot and killed an Orlando man early this morning who had been questioned for several hours about his alleged ties to Boston bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev? See link. This case is therefore far from closed. Let's hope they catch all the bastards involved.
