I am doing a project for a management class, and i have to think of a product that would be controversial over there and plan a way to introduce it to the country, like a marketing pitch. Any ideas of a product or any thoughts on how i can get in contact with an individual from south korea that could help me???

don't know if you've seen much news, but american beef is pretty controversial over here. you could do some research about that, then think of a good way to market it here. they say they are afraid of it because of mad cow disease, but the truth is their domestic beef industry would be crushed to let in lower priced beef from the states, so they put out a lot of propaganda to scare their people out of eating it. I've heard they also thaw it and refreeze it a couple of times before it gets to the shelves to lower the quality. Korean raised beef is ridiculously expensive. Also, they force their children to study until late at night in private institutes and such every night. You could think of some kind of leisure game or program for children to do instead of studying. How about a book or program that teaches you how to talk back to your boss? Their culture is built on obeying people older than you without question (you would almost never see someone in a managment position over people their senior).

What are your (As Citizens of these countries) viewpoint's about the growing threat of North Korea?
Tyler
Every hour of everyday you read something in the news articles about North Korea threatening another country (particularly US, Japan and South Korea). Their threats have done nothing but increase over the months (years actually) without any strong response from these nations, except sanctions.
I think sanctions are somewhat the right approach, but at the same time we're hurting the innocent citizens of North Korea. Starving them.
Remember back in the 90's how some regimes started threatening other countries? The other countries didn't respond until they seen the regime were not talking anymore but killing. We had a chance to stop it before it got bad but we waited until it was too late...
We hear what the Gov't has to say but my questions to you are:
What are your viewpoint's on this situation?
How do you think we can stop the threats without war?
Do you think countries like Japan, US & SK should attack now to stop the growing dangers?
What do you think about North Korea threatening countries with "Preemptive Nuclear Strikes"?
Do you think war is the only solution? (I don't, especially nuclear!!)
I want to see and hear what you, the Citizens of these Countries have to say. Your voices matter and should always be heard!
Answer
Threats don't Impress me. Actions- Do. And I don't see N. Korea doing Anything- to back up Their Threats.
