've talked to this girl a few times who Im going to college with in the fall. Im going to meet her next week at orientation. The few times we've talked though, I've been the one who opened the conversation (all online for now by the way). How long should I wait for her to initiate the conversation so I dont look desperate? I think she has an interest in me but Im not definite.

You could say something like "hey I didn't know you liked (name of band) I'm going there this Friday with some friends you should join us." Or wait til you are doing something fun and text her "you won't believe where I am right now". Then invite her out.
