celebrity gossip entertainment image
I know that the categories are Politics, Art/Entertainment (including Celebrity gossip), Sports, but besides that what else is there to write about?
I'm asking because I'm in my second semester of my second year in a 4-year Journalism program in university, and I still don't know what kind of journalism I will be doing. I do like writing about different cultures and countries but not necessarily about politics and I'm not a music/sports expert.
Any advice?
I'm writing this really fast so sorry in advance for any errors.
Answer
You can write about fashion, science, medicine, law, technology, world news or documentary.
Some of the specific fields within journalism are analysts, correspondents, writers and editors.
The fields of advertising, marketing, public relations, and media relations are other options within the Journalism and Communications areas.

What do highschool and college students want to read about in magazines excluding the entertainment industry?
Outside of celebrity gossip and fashion tips, what are higshcool and college students interested in learning about?
Answer
as a college student I personally would like to read more about enviromental issues and what is being done speciffically by groups of people my age. and maybe some financial planning help that is written using younger language, we don't want to read something that was written by the same old man that wrote the articles our fathers are reading.
also though, i think we just like to read the entertainment because we are learning so much in school that its nice to take a break and read something meaningless
