You might have gotten an early miscarriage. But if there's no bleeding I think its something called a chemical pregnancy. You should google more about them and see if it can tell more about it. Your best bet would be to go to your doctor and ask for a blood test.
here is a little bit of info on chemical pregnancy but if there's no period you should really go to your doctor. I hope this helps. Good luck...
A chemical pregnancy is like a cruel joke. You take an early pregnancy test around the time your period is due that shows a faint positive. Naturally, you get excited and start spreading the joyful news that you're expecting. Then, a few days later you get your period and the doctor says, "It was just a chemical pregnancy."
Meanwhile, you're left confused and possibly devastated. The term chemical pregnancy sounds like a false positive pregnancy test, as if you were not really pregnant at all. But the truth is that a chemical pregnancy was indeed a conception and is actually a very early miscarriage.
What Chemical Pregnancy Means:
The term chemical pregnancy means that the miscarriage happened at a point that a missed period and biochemical tests, such as an hCG blood test or a home pregnancy test (checking hCG in urine), were the only evidence that you were pregnant. The miscarriage happened before an ultrasound could have shown a gestational sac.
When the pregnancy develops to the point that ultrasound could confirm the existence of the pregnancy, the term becomes clinical pregnancy. Thus, a chemical pregnancy would be a miscarriage before the fifth week of gestation -- or within about week after your missed menstrual period.
Symptoms:
The primary symptom of chemical pregnancy would be if you begin to have vaginal bleeding shortly after having a positive pregnancy test. Blood tests reveal low hCG levels that are decreasing rather than increasing.
Causes:
Doctors believe that chemical pregnancies happen for the same reasons as most other miscarriages â- probably because of chromosomal abnormalities in the developing baby. It is hard to know for sure what causes these early miscarriages, however, because it is nearly impossible to retrieve any samples for chromosomal testing.
Frequency:
No one really knows how common chemical pregnancies are, but some researchers have theorized that as many as 70% of conceptions end in miscarriage. Women who are not actively trying to conceive and not closely watching their menstrual cycles may have chemical pregnancies and never know it; in other cases, chemical pregnancy could be a reason (but not the only possible reason) why a menstrual period arrives a few days late.
Physical Recovery:
Chemical pregnancies happen early enough that they have little effect on womenâs bodies, and in many cases, they can be mistaken for a normal period that is a few days late (or even on time). One 2007 study found that the bleeding after a chemical pregnancy is sometimes even lighter than a womanâs usual menstrual period. The bleeding from a chemical pregnancy might be accompanied by more cramps than usual also, but recovery should be fairly swift.

when should I tell my kids about new pregnancy?

I am dying to tell my 4 and 2 year old daughters about the recent news, but its still so recent. I estimate I am only at about 4 weeks. I am just so thrilled and they talk about having a baby so often, Its tough to wait, but I worry about something happening after I do tell them. When do you think is the best time?
Answer
Well, at just 4wks you are a still very early into the pregnancy. A lot of pregnancies won't even show a positive until 5 weeks. You most likely haven't even missed a period.
Wait until you know for sure. After your doctor visit. Most doctors want to see you around 6-8wks. So you still got awhile.
EDIT - I had 3 miscarriages while trying for my 2nd child. We told our 1st daughter right away about the first & second pregnancy before we lost the baby. She was only 3 at the time, but she was heart broken. This is why I'm saying WAIT until you after you had your first doctor visit to make sure you are pregnant. Early miscarriages are VERY common. Before home pregnancy tests most women thought they were late periods and didn't know something was wrong with the baby so the body naturally miscarried. This is what my doctor told me.
