How does one deal with low self esteem from Facebook use?

What tips do you have for someone who doesn't get much likes/comments on content and statuses on Facebook compared to sorority girls and other people on their news feed?

It seems as if some sorority girls write stupid things, or even dumb love quotes and get 48 to 90 likes and more, and people who are not that popular but could be really pretty/beautiful and smart, get much less or not even noticed.

By turning the computer off, realising how dumb they look compared to you, taking a walk outside and find other interests. Thank Heavens you are not as immature or dumb as them. They only get comments because they are seen as slutty or easy. Facebook is not real and there is such a thing as privacy. Count yourself lucky. I was like this too and upset then gave these people enough space say nothing and they hung themselves with their stupidity.

When a girl takes forever to reply to messages you send her?

This girl introduced herself to me a few months ago, and has always been extremely nice to me -- I even suspected maybe she likes me. But she takes forever to reply to messages that I send her. On Facebook she takes hours -- even though she is clearly online because I can see updates on my news feed from things she's doing on there. Why could this be happening?
