What's a good web site to learn the future of the Las Vegas Strip? I'm curious to know what is going to be built there in the future and when they'll be completed. Is there a map showing what the strip will look like in five or ten years?

Answer
http://www.vegastodayandtomorrow.com/

It shows implosions and current projects that are underway, approved, and all the latest development news. I think this is what you are looking for.

Where do I get web updates on flooded roads when heavy rain falls in Las Vegas?

Recently in Las Vegas, a heavy down pour of rain occurred. Now I know in this city the roads are not built nor designed with storm drains on the side of the road, meaning roads flood get flooded easily with little water. Question is where on the internet can I get maps or updates on what roads have been closed or flooded out due to heavy rainfall of long duration?
I ask this so I know what roads to avoid when I go to work.

Answer
Here's some clues: Don't take roads that cross over or go along a washout drain. Such as Koval Lane. It usually floods good behind Imperial Palace, seen it on the news numerous times.

Decatur/Sahara flooded good. I heard that one the last time it flooded in August driving to work via the local radio station. Not sure which station. So listen to stations 1 hour before you leave for work. Heard Oakey/Rancho flooded too.

Call the Nevada Dept. Of Transportation. Ask about road closures/floods.

http://www.klas-tv.com I checked all the local newsstation websites before I journeyed out that morning. None reported any overflows/floods. DARN. I was late to work.

Just do a research on what flooded the last few times.

And 1 storm before the last 2, It flooded out in front of the Palace Station on Sahara. Standing water.
