I have skeptical about the future of torrents because demonoid was taken down last month and this month the pirate bay is starting to fade away. What would happen to the destiny of manking(illegal downloaders especially) if the apocalypse of the torrent world is close. I feel really sad. Can anyone come up with very rare alternative website that I can look for once the torrent sites are doomed.

Answer
Not quite sure what your concerns are.

Every tracker that gets shutdown, three more take their place.

Demonoid gets shutdown, everyone moves to kat.ph. The chain just continues, and as kick ass torrents is based in the Philippines, it's unlikely to be going anywhere soon.

Also, there's thousands of private trackers out there that are much harder to shutdown, and in many ways are far superior to public trackers anyway.

Torrents aren't going anywhere, as trackers are so lightweight and easy to setup, and don't command much bandwidth usage, there's no reason to see a decline, if anything the number of torrent users are constantly rising as things like the removal of demonoid (soon to be mirrored anyway), and the piratebay ISP blocks (which are EASILY circumvented within seconds of Google searching) mean that your average Joe's awareness of torrents is only becoming greater.

Also, I'm unaware that anything is happening to the pirate bay, their blog doesn't have any major news on it in this respects, and believe it or not, the pirate bay is no longer the most popular torrent site around.

TL;DR - They're not going anywhere, so I wouldn't buy into the government scaremongering and spin.

Hope this helps!
