I'm new to USA, its very hard for me to find good TV shows out of 250 channels and thousands of programs. So please name few famous TV Shows/Programs that you like the most. Category can be anything comedy, action, science, news, music, reality, history, etc but except sport related ( Yes, I'm not interested in sports).

Lots of things are popular but I'll give you a quick rundown of the programs myself and my family enjoy:
Sci-Fi "Fringe","Stargate;Universe","Caprica"
Drama: "Castle","Hawaii 5-O"
Reality: "Deadliest Catch","Mythbustres"
Comedy: "30 Rock","The Middle","The Big Bang Theory"
News: I'm sure the next batch of respondents to this will have something childish and idiotic to say to this but I watch Fox News. I find that Fox is the only channel that doesn't seem to be working for the White House's propaganda machine.
Form your own opinions regarding the news but the other shows I've listed are pretty damn good.
