why am i always being compared to celebrities and actors?

i swear to god no matter where i go i get comments from people saying i look like a male celebrity. iv heard so many it makes me laugh at each different one. iv heard leonardo dicaprio, chad michael murray, ashton kutcher, justin timerlake, chace crawford, and more. the thing is these guys dont even look alike and i dont really look like any of them. my ex girlfriends friends were obsessed with this show called gossip girl and they were obsessed with me and swooned over me because i look like this chuck bass character (ed westwick in real life, i looked him up and its scary how much i really do look like him). i always take these as compliments but i get so mad that people compare others to celebrities. why people in the US are so obsessed with pop culture ill never understand. i mean id much rather just have them say your good looking or handsome because i think everyone needs to be their own man. anyways does anyone else get really annoyed of being compared to a celebrity?
