I was wondering how to make a animated news box for a website...it is hard to explain, but an example would be: www.heartstation.org
Answer
You should learn to use flash to create animations for web use, gifs are fine for smaller stuff, but takes way to much CPU resources for cooler stuff.
So my recommendation would be to learn flash.

What is a good news website?

I'm looking for a news website that won't tell me about Tiger Wood's affairs or other lame things about unimportant people that are just popular or famous. Preferably one that just lays down the facts (unbiased) about important things. I doubt I'll ever find a website that isn't at least slightly biased but its worth a try!
Thanks :)
Fox news is way conservative, CNN is way liberal, and both have Tiger Woods on their home page. Doesn't anyone have a good one?
Never heard of Politico I'll check that out
Answer
Well, under your criteria I think you're going to have a hard time finding a news outlet. For the most famous athetle in the world to be involved in a major personal scandal and to take an indefinite leave
from his sport is "news". But, I think I know what you mean, ala John and Kate and that kinda thing.
One good one I check out is Real Clear Politics, if political news is your thing. For general news, the Drudge Report has a variety of topical news item from all over the world with very little if any of the People magazine type news. Check out your local newspaper online too. They are pretty straight down the middle I've found. The Wall Street Journal is good also.
You may have to more precisely define the type of news your looking for in your question also. News about what? Pick your topic, then you'll have better luck I think.
