I am doing a paper on the relationship between Turkey and Greece. I know about all the wars and such, but I cannot find anything on their relationship now. Anything would be much appreciated.
Answer

they support each other first in times of trouble. so very complicated relations lol
@what,who if you are into history perhaps you know that ottoman is the first state to guarantee the freedom of religion of its citizens. so are you talking about a fully supression of culture?
yes they talk about the discriminative laws against nonmuslims, true, but i'm telling everyone to evaluate it with the conditions of its time. It's a hated practice, we hate it too, but in that time, Catholics were killing Orthodox. And for them the life safety-which comes first, was under ottoman rather than the rest of europe.
after the french revolution and reforms, ottoman was behind in terms of democracy and freedom, that's why it failed.
you cant just say "the dark history of ottoman" byzantine was no brighter.
you are into nothing, you're just an ignorant.
"For centuries, the Ottoman Empire was the refuge of the Jews of Europe, who did not have the freedom of religion in Europe that the citizens of the Ottoman Empire did. Jews expelled from Spain in 1492 found refuge in the Balkans and elsewhere in Ottoman territory, where the sultan decreed they should be welcomed."

What is the most important news in your part of the world today?
floridawor
I have been busy most morning creating a blog and have not even peeked at news headlines. I could probably guess some of those headlines regarding economy and job news in the U.S. and probably even Europe, especially since last I heard late Saturday night the IMF's problem with Greece was no way near a solution.
If you're not into economy and government news, what else is important for you out there?
Answer
In my part of the world, Singapore the interest is about who should be the next President of the nation, a largely ceremonial position, The question revolves around whether he/she ought to be independent of the ruling party the People's Action Party or not.
Not something that keeps us awake nights but maybe just as well.
