As we know Johnny Depp has always expressed how much he would like to revive his role as Captain Jack Sparrow. Well Deppâs reps have confirmed that the A-list star has signed up for Pirates of the Caribbean 4.
We can report that only Depp has signed up so far for the fourth outing of the movie franchise. Co-stars Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley have always insisted they will not return for a fourth time with the franchise. Who cares anyway, we only want to see Pirates of the Caribbean 4 for one person, and that is Captain Jack Sparrow.
Johnny Depp is certainly a busy man at the moment, as well as returning for Pirates of the Caribbean 4; he will also play âTonto in Jerry Bruckheimerâs âLone Rangerâ and the Mad Hatter in Tim Burtonâs âAlice in Wonderland.
the 3 pirate movies made over $1 billion dollars.. how could they not make another one.. they make so much profit and people are ''obsessed'' with these movies.. i know i am.. looking at how many crappy ''SAW'' MOVIES.. there making theres another one coming out this year.. and each one ''tanks more than the one before.. and they keep making more..

Pirates 3 did not make over a billion. It grossed 961 million. After production costs it MADE 661 million.

How many think there is going to be a Pirates 4?

All shooting locations will be in southern California: in Los Angeles, Palmdale, and Long Beach. There will be no shooting in the Caribbean this go-round . . . thank goodness, since it is hurricane season once again. POTC 3 as yet has no official subtitle: although writers Terry Rossio and Ted Elliott have expressed a preference for AT WORLD'S END, a Disney spokesman told FilmForce that AT WORLD'S END is not the title of the third installment.

How is celebrity gossip relevant to news?

I mean, every news I come across on TV always has some celebrity talk, which is very very annoying because it's a waste a time and I don't care! Does anyone agree? Does anyone know why it's so "important" for the public to hear on TV about them?

Okay, allow me to explain this to you. A celebrity is a person, who has a prominent profile and commands some degree of public fascination and influence in day-to-day media. The term is often synonymous with wealth (commonly denoted as a person with fame and fortune), implied with great popular appeal, prominence in a particular field, and is easily recognized by the general public. They usually become a celebrity because they have some talent, not always though as proven by Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton who are celebrities without having any talent what so ever.

Okay, now comes the part that is apparently difficult for you to understand. Because they are in the public eye, the media is of the opinion that people have an interest in hearing about them and believe it or not, many people actually do. There are entire magazines and entertainment programs dedicated to celebrities and they are read and watched by millions.

So while I personally agree with you that celebrity news is a waste of time, that opinion is no more than a personal opinion which isn't shared by many others. Celebrities often make their millions because they are in the public eye. The media therefore reports about them, whether we like it or not.

I am conducting a small survey for my communications studies class to gather data on who reads celebrity gossip blogs and how these online gossip and entertainment sites affect our views and perceptions. In addiion, I plan on using the results from the survey to test whether visiting these type of sites affect our cognitve frameworks (i.e., social vs. political knowledge).

I don't go to gossip/entertainment sites, but my coworker does and we both took the survey. Hopefully you can use my answers as a control or something :P
